I don't disagree you at all...in fact quite the opposite.
I just don't think it is a consistent problem for any of the other Joseph's like I do with Keith.
Ben - who is far from being my favourite commits to everything he does, everytime! He is flawed but I admire his go for it attitude. Keith may sing pitch perfect in his own songs (and I know Ben doesn't)....but I think his lack of commitment and laziness is appalling in the group numbers.

that's something I like about Ben he always gives everything (along with lee) in the group songs, yes sometimes his solo is not perfect but he always does a fab job in the group songs and is a rather good dancer too

I do not like ben, as i think his a limited performer and i haven't liked a few of his solo performances - but, i do respect the fact that he does put alot of effort into the group performances, and performs well in then. In fact i think he seems to work better in the group performances than on his own.

If you concentrate on not doing something wrong then it can be fixed temporarily but you have to work for a while before it becomes second nature. Bad technique is just like bad habits basically. Seeing as his individual performances are commented on he probably concentrates more on them and loosens on a little in the group numbers (and i'm not saying thats right...)

Bad technique is a bad habit you're right.
You have to understand I do think that when Keith puts his mind to it he has an exquisite voice. I would just prefer he used it properly all the time rather than only when he thinks he has to shine.
It's a lesson for him to learn and I hope he does.

Yes, I would also prefer he did that all the time. He has an amazing voice. It is very easy to slip back into the bad habits if you aren't concentrating properly though. Maybe he has to concentrate more on the routines etc. in the group no's therefore his singing suffers a bit...

I agree. Daniel's voice was always audible above the others even when there were a lot of them still left. Lee's voice was very obvious this week with the absence of Daniel. It may have been different if Keith had actually sung
Having said that, I can't warm to Lee's voice.

It was unfair, and a poor piece of programming to push one contestant forward at the expense of the others like that. It is not a level playing field if one is shown as a "star" and given extra air time and the others are shown as backing singers. I am not blaming Lee for this, as it was obviously not his fault and I think he did a good although not outstanding job. Lee fans, just imagine how you would have felt if Daniel had still been in and had been chosen to sing with JG, (which I think is perfectly possible), while Lee stood in the background as a backing singer. I found the whole thing left a really bad taste, and I think there could be a backlash against Lee because of it - people are constantly saying the part has been given to him already, and this will only make it worse! I feel sorry for him if this turns voters against him.

I feel no more sorry for keith than any of the others - just becuase keith is a josh fan, doesn't mean he should be the one to sing with him! it was josh's choice. i do agree that the whole thing was pointless though, and if voters turn against any contestant because of it IMO thats plain silly

But Italiangirl didnīt say you should feel sorry for Keith more - she mentioned she feels sorry for him (I presume becuase he was a fan) thats just her own feelings - but she makes it clear that she thinks the idea of allowing any contestent to sing more songs than the other is not fair and not putting them out on a level playing field - that is not suggesting that she thinks Keith should have done it instead - but suggesting no one should have got to do it.
Its not about who got to win the contest, or which contestants happened to lose, or what we think of Josh etc. Or who are our favourites. Of course Lee is not to blame - and neither is Josh. The idea of giving one of them the spotlight and an extra chance to perform at the expense of others is just unfair in itself - they should all get equal time to perform. Totally agree. I thought Lee was excellent in the duet but the whole thing seemed very unfair and I dont blame Keith for his disapointment. It is clear that he is going to win the series but I wish they would stop favouring him so much. It must be disenheartening for the others knowing the whole thing is probably a foregone conclusion.
I don't think Lee has been favoured previously in the series, he has had his fair share of bad comments. IMO he has had less air time than the rest and it is only now that they are making up for that, and it so happens that he does have a personality, (shock horror) and a quirky sense of humour shining thru which we have not seen before. I also agree that it was not Josh's fault that he was picked, he obviously thought that he had the best voice out of the group.
Didn't they do something similar to this with Maria? It seems like it's designed more to stir up trouble than anything else. I think they are trying to get the fans wound up with this.
