Ben for me with Keith still second... I know Lee is good but I just dont like him - the show seems a but silly considering Lee has worked previously - he's not exactly raw talent

Its always irritated me that Lee having some experience is held against him. All of the other have some kind of experience, and none of them are raw - with the exception of maybe Rob who was the only one who hadn't any formal training.

At the start of this competition Keith was the only one i saw youtube clips of singing so hes not exactly raw when it comes to performing. His profile says hes been preforming publically since the age of 5 and is studying MT. Yet they've protrayed him like hes just walked in from the checkout

Why was Lee touted at the beginning as a professional and Daniel a filing clark when its obvious they both had similar experience?

What about Johndeep who was a semi finalist in some kind of MT competition as well as studying at the Royal College of Music? What about Ben and Lewis who are at the Italia Conti school? Or Chris C who has been at the Sylvia Young school since the age of 13. Or Seamus whos first TV appearance was at the age of 10?

All of them come from a similar background, all of them have had training, all of them will have auditioned and gone for parts before.

The only difference that i can see between the contestants and Lee (and Daniel) is that he has been good enough to win some of these previous auditions and the others haven't.

And some think that the show is geared to give Lee an unfair advantage Well i suppose all the people out there who think like that, negate any kind of advantage he supposedly has.

Its Lee for me as well

Lee

Ben can command the stage, but his singing lets him down

Keith has an amazing voice but no stage presence and his acting does not seem a high enough standard

Lewis is just, in my opinion, too young, and that shows in the way he cracks under the presuure of solo songs. GIve him more experience though and I think he will great.

IT HAS to be Lee.
He totally outshines the others.

Lee, with Ben in second

The important thing now is that Lee fans actually vote - and don't assume he's home and dry. That's happened before in this type of show.

It's funny to see the results of the poll so far and see that Ben is in second place with the people in this forum, yet, he doesn't pull in the votes on the night.

he has pulled votes when he has sang upbeat songs - but he can't sing slow songs/ballads, and that is when he doesn't get the the votes, becuase hes given a bad performance. this is why it is pretty ovious that ALW will give him another upbeat song this week as ben can only sing that one type of song.

Well, looking at the BBC Joseph site, your opinion differs greatly from posters on there who think Keith's far from ugly!

You're obviously out of touch as to current trends in male looks.

Think Sam in pop idol (2 i think?) he was everyone's favourite to win but then only came 3rd after michelle & mark...

I don't wish to sound repetitive, but may I draw your attention to He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother, Bridge Over Troubled Water and the first minute or so of Crying again. He sang acted all of those songs well. And even after the first minute of Crying when the vocals did, admittedly, falter somewhat, he carried on showing the vulnerability that he was asked to.
All By Myself is the only ballad he has done horrifically, but his vocals have undeniably improved since then (compare Blue Suede Shows with Johnny B Goode), and even that was well acted.

You're judging his ability to do ballads on two performances, one of which was weeks ago, and he has improved dramatically since; and the other of which was a very hard song, I don't think any of the other Josephs (except maybe Lee) would have done it impeccably, that he did reasonably bar a few high notes (which he will never need to play Joseph).
If next week he does another (easier) ballad badly as well, I will eat my words, but I think he can do it, and giving him Crying was quite unfair.

can i say again that i am talking about actual performances, not the sing offs! and i didn't think anything was good about crying.

Aren't the sing-offs a just as valid display of ability?
It's not as if they have any real advantages in the sing-offs: more pressure, probably less rehearsal time and they are all slower songs, which really doesn't play to Ben's (alleged) strengths.

I think Lee is the best, he will be an intense Joseph. That said the choice it too obvious and I am one of those people who want the underdog (Lewis) to win.

Ben is my second choice, he will be "light" entertainment and that is what Joseph could be. I don't like him though but I can not say why. He looks arrogant but I know I am not the one to judge that because I don't know him.

Keith is third for me, he will sing beyond belief. His acting will not be sparkling and he (still) looks to young. He should do the soundtrack recording.

Lewis is last for me. I like him, I think he is a great guy. He is funny and emotional but he does not show it on stage. There is some barrier there that makes him distant on the podium.

personally i think it is pretty silly to want someone other than the best person to win, just becuase they are an underdog.
