In 1991 ALW cast Jason Donovan as his Joseph - but today in 2007 - if Any Dream Will Do didn't exist - who would be the ideal celebrity to cast in the role?

What apart from Lee Mead? I don't know if he can sing or not, but Marc Warren would have the charm to pull it off. Then there's always John Barrowman!

Yeah, I'd go for John Barrowman. Two hours of looking at and listening to him (not to mention the loin cloth). BLISS!!!

Oh good choices

Wasn't Richard Fleshman going into a musical which was cancelled at the last minute?

Can a weatherman be descrobed as a 'celebrity'? If so, I'd choose Alex Deakin, the BBC weather forecaster. He's cute, beautifully groomed, sleek dark hair, lithe, compact, and has the requisite blend of youth/maturity. Can he sing or act? Who cares..it's the eyecandy factor!!

Also, who's the chirpy wee fellow who co presented Crufts this year with Peter Purves and the awful Ben Fogle? Frank somebody or other? Very nice for the part of Joseph.

Did you say Gareth Gates because you were thinking of the "J J J Joseph Song"?

I know it's a bit sad to say, but I would've picked Lee from a selection of say, 500 guys. As soon as I glimpsed him on screen, I thought "hey, wtf, there he is!" whilst frantically shouting and pointing at the telly!

ALW should've just done his Little Britain impression, pointed at Lee and said "I want that one!" and saved us all a lot of bother (albeit enjoyable bother)

Otherwise, of course, Andy Pipkin himself would make a great Joseph!

Chesney from Corrie.

After all, it was meant to be a schools production and he was great in the Corrie Bugsy Malone.

ps If he can't make it due to work commitments, I suppose Lee might make a passable understudy!

Well, if they want to go with something different this time, how about Ozzie Osbourne (Sorry, late night light headedness)

David Boreanaz (Angel)

Dunno if he can sing but he'd fab in a loincloth.

They then could also make a "Joseph-cert18"

He could bite all the brothers if they pee'd him off.

Can i also have Hugh Jackman please?
