Conspiracy Thread

This is where we can all talk about conspiracies. I have read them in every other thread. And some people seem to be getting annoyed. so this is where people can talk about them.

I considered conspiracy theories when Daniel was evicted but do you know what i think its rubbish.

This show was and is open to anyone. If you get the public support you don't end up in the bottom 2 and ALW can't get rid of you and whoever gets the most votes in the final will win - its not rocket science

Oh i forgot its all about being stiched up with song choices and video clips isn't it. All of them have had both negative and positive VTs. All of them have been given rubbish song choices at some point - some have risen to the challenge and some have failed miserably.

The conspiracy theories are nothing more than some fans being disgruntled because their personal favourite was in the bottom 2 - voted by the public (or not voted i should say)

Exactly. Conspiracy theories are usually started by sore losers, who just cant except results that they dont agree with.

He was joking when he said it - he even said on the show he was joking.

Sure, there's not total control over a live show and open voting like this but there are ways and means of powerfully tipping the balance for or against particular individuals and the way this show has progressed makes me sure it has been both subtly and blatantly manipulated as far as possible. However manipulation, I concede, is rather less than 'conspiracy' and ALW and the panel all must have their own faves however even handed they may try to appear...though often they don't bother to hide their bias.
Much of ALW's choices could be seen as moves to give his own fave the edge but then again I suppose it can all be interpreted in a different light. For instance, did he retain Ben because he fancies him as the 'teeny girls'' Joseph or because he knows Ben's are so atrocious it smooths the path for Lee? Personally I am convinced it's the latter but I may be quite mistaken. Next week will be the crunch.

Its quite easy to get certain people to the end against certain people when you control song choice, running order, voting time, know the votes, have judges to steer the public and can decide who goes. If you control the content of the VT's its easier.

The interesting thing here is that whoever he chucks out he should end up with Lee and a big contrast. He has 2 people who have regularly been in the bottom two so if they end in the final they have the same disadvantage as helena did last year. The public will choose but Ben and Lewis have a mountain to climb in any final.

On the other hand though there is Keith who seems more popular and who would be a dramatically different choice to lee for Joseph. is Keith even close? Does ALW really have an open mind which way it goes with such a vast difference? Saturday is going to be very interesting - just to see if keith makes it.

I do think Lee is the favourite - and to my mind - he doesn't have much in the way of competition now - but we shall see.
