There is No Doubt In My Mind That Lee Should Win Hands Down
I have liked Lee from the start but I also championed Craig. Suffice it to say I am somewhat confused not to mention downright angry that ALW should for some inexplicable reason chose Ben, who had performed and sung awful last night (as the judges commented), instead of Craig who so clearly had worked so hard and has improved incredibly from Day1. What was it ALW said, oh yes "I know people will find it strange I have chosen Ben who has undoubtedly sang flat on occasions tonight but I cannot risk Craig smiling at the crowd" What a load of Twaddle! As if Craig would be so stupid in the role of Joseph on stage, to smile at an inappropriate time - everybody knows from your school peformances, when you are stage in a particular role you play that role like acting, and you react differently to just standing and signing a song to a crowd. I reckon Craig would have done just fine. However, it's not to be. At least Lee is still there, and after watching him sing with Josh last night I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that he is most definitely the best performer and singer, and it's not surprising Josh picked him to duet as their voices are so amazingly similar. What pro would pick anybody but the best to compliment himself.
Well done Lee - keep going and hopefully you will soon be on stage as Joseph! |

For me it's always been Lee and Lewis, and latterly Craig a little bit. I realise now that Lewis really doesn't have quite what it takes. He also should be a pop singer, just like Craig. Lewis would be great in a boy band or some such.
I agree now, Lee all the way, though I'd like to see Lewis in the final too.

I agree that Lee should win, but i am not sure if he will do. the fact that seamus and daniel are no longer in the show yet ben is proves that talent doesn't always win out, i hope talent does win in the end though and lee wins.

Sunshinecat I agree about Craig.
I feel like ALW has played the Pied Piper and I like a fool have followed believing this show was open to anyone and anyone could win. I now see that ALW is getting rid of Lee biggest rivals in preparation for him to look like the ONLY option to be the peoples' Joseph. Their songs last night were designed to bring their most obvious inadequacies to the fore. Bens vulnerability, Lewis's colour and emotion, Craig's acting, Keiths stage presence and then there was Lee. Lees song was to show happiness. Why is that? Do they mean happy performance wise, or are they scared Lee is not seen as a 'happy' soul? As a viewer I see the latter and no matter what strokes of theatrical genius he may come up with, I just can't feel anything towards the man himself. I just see vanity. He's said he didn't care what the others thought of him, he's stropped and threatened to leave when he got a bad comment, He whinged that he had given up so much to be there, like he was owed something in return. He sleeps with a Jason Donovan CD, which OK, thats a personal choice but really lol. I don't enjoy his singing in group songs as he increases his vocals to prove a point (like last nights 'close every door' quartet, he turned into a duet with Craig.) Basically he finally sealed his fate in my opinion of him last night when he sang a happy song in the fakiest smiliest way he could, and I felt absolutely nothing. Think Keith has just doubled his votes as well now hasn't he? Yeah I'm still sulking over losing the crusader Craig, but hey ho life moves on for him now. .....and this is only a TV show innit Cleo lol ![]()

I think lee deserves to win hands down and ben to come second. ok he was flat last night with the hardest song of the competition (wonder how the rest would have fared) Watch the group perfomances and his star quality and stage presence stand out a mile, just not sure his vocals are ready yet. so lee to win and ben to understudy

Lee all the way. And it's the view of everyone I know. Even if they don't know his name when asked it's 'oh the guy with the dark curly hair...'
No one else even registers...he's mesmeric. |

No one else even registers...he's mesmeric. My husband says every time he sees ADWD (he tends to repeat himself a bit) "I know you really fancy him, but he is the best - the others are just fillers". (Husband thinks show is on 3 times a week as he doesn't notice that it's a video.) It is just such a shame that Daniel & Seamus aren't in it for the final as they would really make it a show worth watching and put up a bit of competition for Lee. Maybe the show should be handicapped like in golf: Lee has to sing wearing the Borat thong. Ben comes with his own handicap of not being able to sing well to start with. Keith has to drink a bottle of cod liver oil beforehandto improve his concentration. Lewis has to sing without his Mum & Nana there. |

There is no doubt in my mind that Lee will win hands down, despite being distinctly average in comparison to some of the contestants already long gone.
The whole series is nothing more than a vehicle for him and as of last night they even stopped being subtle about it. |

I would say Lee is certainly the best performer there, but I'm not at all sure that ALW wants him. He seems to want this production of the show to be focused on a young Joseph with a pop sound - he has said this and it fits his behaviour after sing-offs, consistently eliminating of guys who are older or have musical theatre voices where this was an option. From this perspective, the money would be on Keith, or maybe Lewis (not Ben, for vocal reasons). It may be that the public vote ensures Lee wins, or else ALW chickens out and goes for secure professionalism at the last minute, but I really don't think Lee's victory is either certain or even wanted, from ALW's perspective.

That's a little unfair - nobody can describe Lee as average he has an amazing voice and vocal range. As for Saturday's show - it wasnt the producers who chose Lee to sing with josh but Josh himself - and I even heard him comment on it on a short interview on E or one of the Sky channels. Cant say I blame him - he simply wanted the voice that best complimented his and chose accordingly.
