That's a little unfair - nobody can describe Lee as average he has an amazing voice and vocal range. As for Saturday's show - it wasnt the producers who chose Lee to sing with josh but Josh himself - and I even heard him comment on it on a short interview on E or one of the Sky channels. Cant say I blame him - he simply wanted the voice that best complimented his and chose accordingly.
Apologies to non Lee supporters I had not intented to make this a Lee appreciation thread lol merely tried to convey my reasons for favoring him now. |

Maybe the show should be handicapped like in golf: Lee has to sing wearing the Borat thong.

..... and that would be a handicap how exactly

Might as well be shameless here - I've got to the stage where the morals of whether he should be in the competition or not, how good his voice is, blah di blah, don't matter any more. I just want him to win because I'm hooked.
On the more positive side I love the way he acts a song with his facial expressions. I could about keep my temper if Lewis or Ben won but if Keith wins I would be cross. He is just unpleasant to look at for me. And, yes, looks do matter to an extent. I for one wouldn't want to watch someone for two hours who turned me off completely. Especially if they were in a loincloth for a lot of the time. |

What do you mean? He's not had any competition? Or he's been given fab songs (because he hasn't)?

Well, some of us thought it a travesty that Daniel went so I guess you'd better beware of thinking like this!!
I used to be certain ALW was manipulating as far as possible with the open voting to whittle away Lee's serious competition. Now I am less sure. However I'm guessing the figures HAVE to be stacking up in Lee's favour, whatever ALW wants. If Ben took it I shudder to think what he'd do with the melodies! Lewis may struggle but at least he has potential there to improve vocally and he is no quiter, give the boy his due. Keith is definitely Lee's strongest rival and I think he'd have little trouble carrying the role though he doesn't quite do it for me personally. As has been said, only Daniel and Seamus were the serious rivals to Lee and have been eliminated for whatever reason. Daniel, cetainly, should still be there. |

Why do posters feel the need to start pointless threads like this, each Guy has a appreciation thread that is the place and others who don't support that guy should respect it is not a place for attack!
I do feel some posters have been misguided in their continued support on each and ever thread, it can hard their favourite as well! |

Surely the competition have been eliminated because the public didn't vote for them.
ALW merely has the chance to offer a lifeline which sometimes he chooses to take and sometimes doesn't. Most weeks it has been the one with the least votes who has gone. |

I think lee is a good all rounder and would make a great Joseph but I do wonder if ALW is really looking for a young poppy Joseph. He has said that often enough.
I think he has Lee as his safe bet and is waiting to see if the three young ones can cut it. That Ben's vocals can handle it- That Keith gets some stage presence and Lewis steps up to the plate and proves he isn't too young for the role. With two weeks to go I can't see how any of these will improve enough . But all could be future Joseph's and I think ALW has acknowledged that. Does anyone know for definate that the runner up gets to do two shows a week? |

Yeh, I agree with you, I think that is exactly what's going on in ALW's mind. I wonder if he thinks he needs a young poppy Joseph to bring in a new younger generation of audience? In my experience the audience will come if the production and the leading man is good enough. He said almost the same thing with Maria but in the end still went with the person who had the most talent and experience.

I'm not so sure about that. I don't think any of us can really know what is going on.
