Ok surely I am not the only one pissed off about how much they are pimping Lee. It was bad before but the whole Josh Groban thing was ridiculous. Nice image to get in peoples heads Lee singing lead with the other four relegated to backing singers. I think that the producers are doing everything in their power to ensure a Lee win. Now I have nothing against Lee, but I dont think its a fair competition. None of the other contestants have been given nearly as much push.

So here is my idea, and its really for all the people who's favourite is gone from the competition and they no longer vote. People who want Keith, Ben or Lewis to win keep going with the voting. But people that have stopped since Daniel or Chris or whoever left vote once. Just one vote a week. Throw it to any of the 3 you like. Just dont vote for Lee.

Every year in every reality show producers edit in favour of one contestant. Its called 'The Chosen One' edit and its very effective in getting that contestant to win. So even if you hate Keith, despise Ben or detest Lewis throw one vote their way. Lets turn this around and maybe next year we will get a more fair competition.

I'm not a Lee fan, but this thread has crossed way over into ridiculousness-land.

People will vote for who they want.

Lee is clearly the best and it was Groban who chose Lee.

Lee is talented. ALW didnt see Joseph in the ones he got rid of.

I am a Daniel Fan. And more importantly a musical theatre goer/lover. Lee has remained consistant and is the only one left I know paying £50 a ticket is money worth spending. The others need another couple of years gaining experience touring in productions to be able to hold the west end stage and be able to take the critics comments.

It is not Lees fault how he and the rest are being portraited. You dont have to vote for him. Use your vote to save your favourite.

Just please stop posting these ridikulous opinions.

Maybe you should just concentrate on supporting your favourite not running down the competition because it just makes you look pathetic.

Wow, nice replies, a post offering an idea to stop producers ensuring their favourite getting the win gets replies that amount to "Ur jus jellus". My post was neither personal against Lee nor against his followers. My post was against the clear production bias in his favour. In an ideal world that wouldnt be there, all contestants would be treated equally and I would agree that Lee is very talented and would probably win.

But if you genuinely cannot see the bias in the show, and cannot see how unfair it is then I wonder about people. Surely we have seen enough reality shows by now to recognised when we are being played.

And for the people that replied with "Nobody tells me who to vote for". Well I think you'll find the producers have done so for many people in their portrayal. Or do you forget the demon edit Seamas got? In reality he was only half a big asshat as he was depicted as being.

Anyhoo if the general level of this forum is to level insults at the poster rather than the post then maybe I overestimated you. Otherwise a discussion about the ethics of a biased edit could be very interesting. Maybe you would prefer to go ahead with "So sad...lee rules ur jus jellus"

I´m not supporting Lee, but I don´t think viewers should vote or not vote on a person depending on what task he was set - or if he won it or not. Simply because its not fair on the contestants. In the same way, as much as I thought Daniel should have stayed over Lewis, I´m not going to blame Lewis for the publics vote/ALWebbers decision. It was as much Lewis fault that he beat Daniel as it was Lees fault that he got picked (ie not his fault at all)

We all have different opinions and reasons for backing someone, but I´d prefer those reasons to be attributed to what you like in the person, rather than to get back at someone else. Having said all that, I think the singing thing with Josh was unfair - and deliberately placing some contestants over the other. But any blame for this situation lies with the producers - not with Lee. I´m not going to like Lee any more or less because Josh happened to pick him, just like I won´t go against Keith because Ben says hes too confident. But I´m not going to blame Lee for winning or hate Ben for making those comments either. I think its best to stick to their performances and try ignore the sideline shenanigans that the programme producers are introducing.

Louison, I'm with you on this one. The bias is there for all to see. Josh Groban was all very well but it must have been practically a foregone conclusion Lee would have got it as he's much more polished than the others who are still at 'raw talent' stage , Daniel having been conveniently excised from the scene!
The duet idea was a horrible thing to concoct and immensely unfair to the others, as wee Keith rightly realised, bless him. They could have done it differently to showcase them all with the wondrous Josh whose voice, guess what, reminds me of Daniel's.
I think the programme bias IS there and it does subliminally influence people. Keeping in Ben over Craig was just another weird proof of this urge to weaken the favoured one's remaining competition. I suspect the only real stiff competition he now faces is from Keith who DOES have a nice voice. Ben's woeful, Lewis however could once more surprise us all but it'll be one massive up-hill struggle for him.

Everyone has different opinions i've personally always felt that the chosen one was Keith, but I would never just start a thread just to get him out.

About lilbits comment. Benefit? How on earth would I benefit from Lee leaving. I dont have a favourite in the competition so it isnt a matter of me wanting Lee out in favour of someone else. They all have their strengths and weaknesses so I find it hard to pick a favourite at the moment.

You know i've posted three or four times in this thread. Each time clarifying and explaining. Each time being quite polite, because I have no problem with any poster. And yet each time my posts are met with rather childish replies.

Lee has his fans and I respect that they will not like this thread. In the real world you have discussions with people you dont agree with, you learn to agree to differ. But I have found that this really isnt the forum for that. I like debate, I like a good discussion. I don't mind when I am in the minority and I do like it when people change my mind. But they dont do that by calling me sad and making other derogartory comments. Clearly I should have posted this elsewhere.
