Hi, forgive me if this has already been asked (did try a search, but found nothing).

Can anyone suggest sites (or shops, or otherwise) for finding rare/hand to find CDs.

In particular I'm trying to find a copy of Lisa Snowdon's album 'Spell It Out' - I've found it on Amazon and Gemm for a Japan import (around $38).

This is just one of a few CDs I've been on the hunt for, so any advice for places to look would be welcomed.

You could try your local WH Smith store, as you can order CDs (past & present) direct from them

I've just had a quick look at 6 online sites (including play.com 101cd and cd-wow) but none have it

Your best bet would to be to get it from Amazon or try what Tumble Weed said.

They don't have the CD you're after this time, but amazon.de (the German part) are very good at unusual or non-mainstream CDs (must admit I've never heard of Lisa Snowdon).

Their prices, taking into account the sterling/euro conversion rate and shipping prices, are quite favourable. And if you're a registered customer with amazon.co.uk you can use any other Amazon site without having to re-register, including the American one at amazon.com. Of course, the downside to the German site is it's all in German but if you're a regular user of amazon.co.uk you can easily navigate your way around the german one. The Japanese site (amazon.jp) is that much harder!

Katie.

get in touch with one of the following specialist rarities dealers:

opalmusic.com
normanrecords.com
eil.com

if they don't have it listed as in stock, email them as they have decent networks of dealers around the world.

all of the above three come personally recommended.. decent service, decent prices (eil.com are a little over-priced, in all fairness), able to get hold of just about anything

Try Ebay. You can enter a search for an item and save it so that if anything matching that search comes onto Ebay you get an email telling you about it, so you'd never miss it if it showed up. Only thing is you'll be competeing so it might go to a very high price.
