That's right Paul.
Plus, Currys deal with Samsung's service agent, so there's no chance of goodwill. |

If you bought the TV from Currys, all your rights are against them, report the fault to them - if they want to arrange for a Samsung agent to come out and look at it, make THEM arrange it. If YOU arrange it yourself you are reducing Currys legal obligations.
Assuming someone does come out, and says it's not faulty, make sure you get his name, and the company he works for. You can then take either the service company, or Currys, to court if you wish, and claim for the full price of the set, plus compensation. This happened to a local service agent near me (I think it was over an LG bought from Currys?) - the service agent had to pay the full price of the set, plus compensation - subsequently he stopped trading, as he considered it "no longer worth while". |

It annoys me that DSG simply divert the customer to the manufacturer's service agent.
They generally refuse to acknowledge a problem and fob the customer off. |

The only ones we can do is Sony, anything else we have to refer to the manufacturer - with Sharp we were collecting the sets and delivering them to SharpServ (as it's not far away) this makes it a faster service - but still didn't meet our requirements. |

I've had nothing but trouble with SharpServ in the past.
