Well, it looks as though we finally have a BB success story !!

Others have made regular TV appearances for twelve months or so, Helen & Mel come to mind, but they don't last

Just get the feeling that Kate will be the only one who makes it and will still be around in 5 years time, not as a big star, but as a recognised TV face with a decent if unspectacular career

Lets face it, all the others would kill for the work she has got.

I don't know whether its true though as it says a 'secret' deal and as new magazine is talking about it how secret could it be? It quotes 'a source' but that could be anyone Kate has chatted to in the last month.
The book and makeup thing would be a good idea though as she is popular with a lot of teenage girls - she could also have a career contributing articles to the teen and pop magazines if she wanted - I'm sure she'd have plenty to say.

I'll forgive you Emzi ! The Progress Reports are hard work sometimes I think my post about new magazine had actually got mixed up with one about the Beatles anyway!

Mmmmm tend not to believe it. But any product endorsed by la Lawler will surely fail just like that exercise video she put her name to...... the possible exception perhaps being an exclusive range of miniture Dulux paints to be plastered on by her fellow trannys.

& as for the book...PLEASE....her agent is just good at maintaining some sort of media profile for Lawler by constantly leaking rubbish to the press... a quick search of this site will provide plenty of examples.

I did think it was attention seeking in the house- her'seven' videos 'five' packs of photos comment. (or vice versa). To me at the time it just screamed ' give me media headlines' theres nothing wrong with having the videos or photos but to give the exact numbers out - I just thought WHY?

I do think she's changed now though. Perhaps she's embarassed about what she said in the house? I am impressed by her discretion about her relationship with Spencer and also the relationship with someone before Christmas. Perhaps she's learnt to value her privacy, at least about things which mean a lot to her.

I have to agree with you Swing, an accurate summing up of Kate's very well planned media career.
I detect a sense of panic setting in on the forum at the sight of Kate realising her dream of becoming a big star, while other HM's, eg Alex, PJ and Spencer are only recognised in their media appearances as the token good looking bloke?

Her relationship with Spencer was plastered all over the press.
If she was discrete, she shouldn't even mention that "relationship" over chrismas and the fact that she not had sex for 3 months. Have they redefine discretion these days ?

IMHO, she was discreet. Maybe not about charlie but everyone makes mistakes.

I very much doubt there is any truth to this Kate Lawler make-up range story.Why would any company offer such a deal to Kate when the beautiful Cat,Tess,Donna,Catalina and many many other established attractive tv starlets would be in competition for such deals.It may be true but I can't see it.More likely in my opinion that Kate's agent has put the idea into her pretty head that a deal like this may just be possible - if Kate leaks enough hints to the press a make-up company may possibly come to her with an offer.

The most interesting bit of this thread is the suggestion that Spencer and the "relationship" before Christmas were different. I thought she was asked in that magazine interview when she last had a shag and replied that it was before Christmas and with someone "semi famous". I assumed she was talking about Spencer. Wasn't she?
