What a complete waste of time this programme is, why not cut the c**p and just give him the part.

Am i the only one who thought Saturdays performance was the cheesyist of them all?

Hardly his fault with the song he was given though. Made up for it with his duet with Josh Groban even though it was unfair on the others. I do think that producers are pushing the fact that he is the 'chosen one' too much. I have no doubt that he will win. Some of the best singers have already left the competition. Does take the edge of the show in my opinion. Still will keep watching though. He is probably the one person remaining who will do the part justice. Really like Ben but he needs more time and hopefully a better song this week.

I don't think it is as cut and dried as that. How often has ALW banged on about wanting a young poppy Joseph ? But then in Maria he wanted someone completely different and ended up with a Julie Andrews Clone.

I have said elsewhere Lee is great and is ready for Joseph and is ALW's safe bet but he is waiting to see if the three young ones can cut it. It could be interesting if Ben upped the vocals, Keith found stage presence and Lewis proved he isn't too young!!

its a cheesy song - and he simply gave the performance ALW asked him to give - as has been the case with alot of the contestants, i am sure they would never have picked half the songs they have had to do if they had had the choice. but i agree he should get the part.

I thought Lee did very well with a rather mediocre song.

Cheesy doesn't mean bad though does it?Especially with the song he had to do. AND I still don't think it is the Lee show.

I really don't agree. I think they keep pushing Keith.

I do agree about Ben though, can't believe he's still there.

I think ALW would rather Lee didn't win actually (even though I think Lee should and will). If it was down to ALW alone in the final Lee wouldn't win IMO...just a feeling I get.

It does seem that Lee will win easily, which IMO is a shame as he is not right for this role.

If the show were casting Marius from Les Mis I would be backing Lee all the way, I probably would back him for Chris from Miss Saigon and certainly would give him the role of Raoul.

But this is Joseph, it needs something different, something Lee doesn't have but two of the other lads do have.

Lee is great and will have a great future in the West End, but I don't think he is right for Joseph.

Young and poppy is part of it, someone who teenage girls would scream for (Lee seems to get their Mums screaming ) Someone who is so popular yet annoying his brothers sell him as a slave.

In short it needs someone with the X Factor, someone like Robbie Williams or Justin Timberlake. Lee is/will be a fantastic dramatic leading man in highly emotional musicals. Joseph is a pop musical which started life as a school play. If I'm entirely honest - Lee is too good to play this role.

Really love Lee but I agree with you. I actually think he is too good for the role. He would be great in a more emotional musical than Joseph. If Ben could get his vibrato sorted he would be the best choice. Cant take my eyes off him in the group performances.

I hear what you're saying, Clarat, but if you take Lee out of the equation do you honestly think any of the remaining Josephs have the 'X-Factor' ? Can't see it myself, whereas I do think Lee has it in spades.

If you mean someone who has no X FACTOR with limited talent & only limited to singing pop songs then , yes, Lee is not on this category.

Lee is by far the only contestant left with the whole package AFAIC (along with Daniel although Lee imo is more suitable to the role than Daniel not taking anything away from Daniel's talent....Guys & Dolls producers hope you're reading this! ).

For any would be leading actors, nothing is too small role for any of them esp Lee.....I believe Lee when he says this is what he's been working for all his life since taking up stage acting......to take on a role in a West End stage with his name at the top....and this could be his only chance!!!!

This is such a hypocritcal post from you seeing that on one of your other posts you said that you hope that Lee wins now since your favourite Daniel has gone!

Which made it even stranger that they seemed to give him negative spin on Saturday with the VT's

Daydream Believer is a agreat classic pop song that so many of today's pop acts would give their right arm to write. The problem is Lee is increasingly stale gorgonzola and can't help it.

Yes, I know Ben has it and Lewis could have it but we haven't seen it yet.

Yes it was cheesey but he did as well as Daniel did with the same songs.

Its not Lees thought Daniel got the lowest votes and booted of when ALW had the chance.

We dont know that Lee is getting the most votes. Keith has never been in the bottom 2.

Sorry but Robbie Williams is waaaaaaay too old for Joseph and he looks it, this from a Robbie lover.
I kind of get what you say about Lee being too good for Joseph, but he has always said it is the part he wants, so I say give it to him.
Oooooh, and yes please on the Lee Mead show!
