Hey did I miss something? Is ALW changing ADWD to make it not only all singing but ALL DANCING as well.

It would certainly explain why he chose "youth" over the great Daniel, and has ended up with Lee and 4 youngsters. And wasn't the Les Mis mission supposed to show us their energy and stamina?

I still think it could be between Lee and Ben and if you're right Ben moves ahead in the stakes IMO.

The nurturing is very random isn't it? It wasn't very much in evidence when he told Daniel, in front of 7 million people, that no one would want to listen to him for 2 hours! (Still fuming! )

At first I was convinced ALW was wangling things to get Lee but NOW I am less sure...I actually think he wants Keith despite the bade vibes last week. Thus he keeps Ben who can't sing to save himself and only has Lewis as the other contender and very much the scoffed at underdog he does NOT deserve to be cast as.

As for a TV show, there can only be one and it would have to be for the one and only Mr Daniel Boys with his charm , panache and intelligence. What do you think of the idea of a Seamus show? Somehow it just doesn't grab me the way Dan's would but which of the others do you think theoretically could host their own TV show?

I think you're right much as I love Lee I don't think ALW really wants him in this role (if he got rid of Daniel for not being a "youth" why would he want Lee who is only 3 years younger!). I had thought Lewis was ALW's fav and suspected he may be keeping Ben in cos he believes the GBP won't vote for him in the final. But I think ALW has underestimated the voters and he may end up with Lee as he gets no casting vote in the final - that's provided of course Lee doesn't go next week

And as to the TV show - you've probably spotted I've already given him the job of guest co-host of the Lee Mead Show but if he wanted to go out on his own (and the TV schedulers didn't put both shows on at the same time of course) I'd watch the Daniel Boys Show.

Yes, and I also remember him telling the 20-year old Chris B (still in college) that he'd never have the confidence to be on a West End stage. He really doesn't phrase these things carefully enough. I was also thinking about song-selection, which has sometimes seemed very strange - I suspect more out of thoughtlessness than deliberate sabotage.

I think if you take this forum as a cross section of the viewing public it's pretty obvious that Lee has the most support. Having said that I don't think he's what ALW has got in mind. And if he was thought of that highly why didn't Bill Kenwright cast him in a lead role after he played Pharoah?

I don't think this forum is representative of the viewing public. I know quite a few people who watch ADWD but have never heard of DS and don't make much use of the internet at all.

I think this very true. Slightly off topic but still relevant, you only have to look at the X-Factor forum and the thousands of posts on the Eton Road thread. Lots of support on here, but where has it got the band.......nowhere is the very short answer.

Their fans are still smitten but the Eton Road boat has long since sailed.

I think it can be easy to forget what the rest of the world is like when you're on the forums a lot, communicating with other posters. People on here tend to be more enthusiastic (and occasionally rabid ) than the viewing public in general.
