Its interesting that in the first couple of programmes Lee and his "professional background" were hardly exposed, gust glimpses here and there in the background, but no interviews. Only as the series has progressed are we seeing more of him. (Overall Ben, Keith and Lewis have had much more exposure)
I think it's not a case of searching out the best Jospeh but allowing ADWD to "create" a star that the GBP have taken to thier hearts. The sell out preformance for months for SofM show what a sound financial strategy that is.
But it just would'nt help the viewing fingures for ADWD if it was obvious it's now and probably has been from the beginning, a one horse race and I'm sure the panel and ALW know this.
So maybe this sounds like "chose one" and "conspiracy thoery" - maybe so, but I for one am not complaining. I've loved "getting to know" Lee, seeing a "star" created and ADWD had been a real forum for exposure, training and a career launching platform for the other guys - and entertaining to boot.”
agree with all of this - we have all heard the rumours and I do think ALW more or less knew who he wanted - but it has been a brilliant show and I was worried when he apparently messed up a bit in the semi final - not that I noticed! So despite the fact that the result may well be a foregone conclusion - Lee stood out for me from the first performance, is the only one I would pay to go and see and has made the show for me. (and I decided that myself and didn't even need to speak to ALW to confirm my opinion!
