I'm sure it can be found even cheaper.

I'm looking at either the Sony Ericsson K750i or k510i

edit - yeah the one that's posted above, on the vodafone network.

K750i

Go for it. It is better than the K510i. A lot better.

The K750i is a nice phone, i had one in 2005.

It's getting a bit long in the tooth now though.

Looking at phones4u, the other networks have it at 80, while orange is 70, would it be a good idea to buy it at 70, unlock it to other networks, then use my existing sim card for vodafone?

Can you unlock it for free?

No, you can't unlock it for free.

A simple web search could have told you this.

A simple web search can tell me many things, but not necessarily the best thing.

What is wrong with it? It was and is one of the best phones out there...

It's a very basic phone.

It was top of the range 2 years ago.

For a PAYT phone it's alright though.

Vodafone.

Mine was Vodafone branded and didn't have any restrictions on there. Infact, my mate's O2 branded one is worse!

Yes but it is still one of the best phones out there. No other 2MegaPixel camera phone boosts as good a shot. it also has alot of stuff on it many other phones dont.

I know it is out done by the K800i and K810i but it is still very good.

And Vodafone is rubbish. They rebrand all the Sony Ericsson phones and shove there horrid software on them.

The K750i is a great phone - granted, it's now classed as mid-range or "affordable" but that doesn't mean it's had its day. I can see the K750i being manufactured well into next year.

From as low as £64.99 it's well worth it. I'd expect a phone like that to actually be priced around £120...

If you can get one within your price range then I would highly recommend a W810i. I had one before I got my N95 and it is a fantastic little phone, can't fault it.
Perhaps make this guy an offer http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sony-Ericson-W...QQcmdZViewItem
His start price is too high and so is his postage. Might not sell at all, he might be open to an offer if you email him.
