There was an AI special tonight. I wouldn't have watched it if I had known what it was, though. Just recaps, interviews, and a chance to sing a song they've already performed from the top 12.

It was an obvious ploy by FOX to build up an audience for their new show "Mr. Personality" (which I was going to watch, anyway ... and I did ) It just angers me, though. On the radio they would advertise for the special but they wouldn't say what was going to be on it! Sorry, I just had to get that off of my chest.

Does anyone know if this will be shown on UK TV?

The schedule seems to be as usual for Friday night on ITV2, so I can't see it being shown this week.

Not a chance. If you read the US reviews of AI 2, you'd realise how much we miss! They had the cheek to cut a performance by Kelly Clarkson a couple of weeks ago.

I was so annoyed when they completely cut Kelly's performance. Maybe there are contractual things (she was doing it as a promotion for the forthcoming single/album release, and she isn't releasing in the UK?).

I know we miss the 'hilarious' Coke and Ford promo slots that the kids are forced to do - gotta say don't miss them at all. They could do with trimming the pointless 'Ryan, go into the audience and find the most socially inept person to ask a standard scripted question to the contestants/judges' bit!!!

Except for Kelly performing, I don't think you're missing much. The ads are cheesy and the special was pointless.
