Nokia N73 Music Edition
Need peoples advice, apparently this had loads of bugs and kept crashing/turning off etc. But now Nokia have released firmware updates and what not. So I'm considering purchasing the phone and selling my ipod ad samsung z540 to get it, as i want to fuse my mp3 player and my phone. Is this all a good idea?

No. The phones, firmware update of not is horrendous. I am now on my 3rd replacment phone and i am only in my 6th month of ownership. Between them the phones have broken and gone back to finland 5 times. they have cost me a lot of time and money. I keep my old mobile (the 6680) on standby now so i can swap back when (note when not if) the 73 breaks again. The keyboard is starting to malfunction on the latest 3rd replacement, i have had it a week. i think i'll be calling for the 4th replacement tomorrow.
I have owed several generations of the symbian nokias from the one with the round keypad and they have been gettinggradually more unreliable. I stonly advise you to steer well clear of this one. |

The breakages have been:
1) failure to start up 2) after repair of above, after 3 days, start but failed to run programs 3) Failure to lock onto a network 4) Microphone failure so the other person cannot hear you. 5) 1 day after repair of above, microphone failure mid call. 6) inability to maintain 3G network lock, mid use of 3G features, despite being in srong 3G coverage area 7) Unresponsive keyboard resulting in missing calls as the answer button cannot be pressed. To be honest if you dont want to use it as a phone, you might be ok. Trouble is i do. |
