Yup I think you could be right, but when I downloaded it, it said it was by Forigner!

Most of the other MP3's are my BF's anyways, and we have a completly different taste in music

CAV - GnR - good choice - I heard Appetite For Destruction last week and it still sounds excellent after all these years, mind you I skip 'Sweet Child ...'. ”

It's a great album. One of the best I own. Favourite tracks are It's so easy, Mr.Brownstone, Paradise City, Think about you, Sweet Child o' Mine, You're Crazy, Anything goes and Rocket Queen.

It's one of the few albums where I can honestly say I LOVE all the tracks. Not one filler on it.

And personally, I'd listen to Sweet Child o' Mine, if only for the solo...

One that I haven't played for way too long - Michael Bolton - All That Matters. Really relaxing, get-me-in-the-mood stuff!

White stripes 'elephant'
Great album.
However, they steer litigilous close to Jim hendrixs 'Voodo chile' on 'Ball and Biscuit'. I also noticed in another song a snatch of 'Im a man' the early seventies song by 'Chicago', and in yet another song a section of 'wonderwall'.

Might just be me though, when you get to my age you've heard most riffs a load of times, and cant hep noticing similarities.

That's a great album. I keep waiting for someone to do a thrash-metal speed-garage hardcore rap cover of My Bag, but it hasn't happened yet. There's a number one song waiting to happen, kids.

And I'm 29 now! I can easily believe it, the way I'm getting old.

Oh, I'm getting old...

I told you before, you are a mere baby. Life begins at thirty Jeremy, start worrying when you get to forty.

That's how the song goes, Jan:

Life begins at thirty,
Or so I have been told
And I can easily believe it
The way I'm getting old
Oh, I'm getting old...

It's 29, by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions.

You're only as young as you feel.

Oh, and Jan - I'm not going to make any predictable Michael Bolton jokes. But if you want to "get in the mood", I think you need Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On.

Smetena's "Bartered Bride"
I just fancied a bit of opera. It doesn't happen very often, but I've played Jeff Buckley's "Grace" album and Leonard Cohen's Greatest Hits" so much lately, that they are ingrained in my mind!
I'll never be hip I'm afraid!

Thank you so much for pointing out my stupidity in such a nice way! I can't help it if I'm no good at song lyrics, when you get to my age even if I can hear them, I don't remember them afterwards!

And by the way, I do have the Marvin Gaye track you mention, but it's better to save that one for special occasions, which are sadly very few and far between, if you know what I mean?

Jeff Buckley and Leonard Cohen? Who needs hip, tally? Great songwriting never goes out of fashion. Well, actually that's not true (see Abba about ten years ago), but you know what I mean.
