This is the only part of The Apprentice that I would like to do - I love interviews and can't wait to see how they do!

Do they normally go from 5 down to 2 candidates in one week? We already lost Ifti and Rory in week 2, so if anything I would have thought they needed to string the ending out a bit longer.

Last year it was 4 candidates down to 2. But this year there are 16 candidates in total instead of 14. So, with the same number of episodes, there had to be a multi-firing at some point.

Well from the highlights we've all seen, the interviewers are all male and they are the same 3 from the passed 2 series. Also we have all seen snippets of some of the the individuals' interviews were they may not be presenting themselves in the best light:
Tre - not done any research on Amstrad (didn't google it)
Lohit - I am more successful than people twice my age (well I'm twice your age and I know I am more successful than you)
Simon - you sacre me (or words to that effect)
Katie - I didn't get to be successful by staying at home and being mummsy

Can't remember the snippet for Christina.

Still, it's all about clever editing to get us all guessing (usually the wrong way) before next week.

My prediction are

Katie - Will be seen as patronising and too ruthless. Think the comment about not getting where she is by sitting home and playing mummy could go down badly - it does make her look slightly uncaring. I think she's a goner - especially after Sir Alan's Mirror column where he says he wants to punch her. This episode he can just get rid of the 3 he dislikes the most for ANY reason.

Kristina - Could fare well. Think she'll come across as intelligent and shrewd and will fight her corner.

Lohit - Think he could come unstuck as well, may look a bit like a damp squib so to speak. Him being quite quiet could go against him

Simon - I think he could do ok. He has a good personality and could win them over. He's made Sir Alan laugh twice this series (which could be some sort of record). He has good ideas and is willing to take risks, and I think ultimatley Sir Alan likes him. Even if he has a dodgy interview and so so feedback, he could go through on that basis alone.

Tre - I think he'll be cocky and slightly arrogant - looks like he comes unstuck. I don't honestly know how the interviewers would react to him. They disliked Paul for being cocky last year.

I think the Final 2 is going to be out of Kristina, Lohit and Simon. I can't decide which 2 though are more likely.

Will be Claude Littner and Paul Kemsley again. Both of them were on the Board at Spurs when SAS was chairman.

It is also the only individual "task" whereby the candidates stand or fall on their own efforts rather than as part of a team.

If none of you mind (very minor) spoilers take a look at the BBC website - there are a few clips up which are different to those we saw previewed on Wednesday.

Paul was cocky and arrogant, but also had no substance. He all but lied in the interviews if I remember.

Tre is also cocky and arrogant, but he does have some good points to draw on. He's not as obnoxious as Paul was.

Just have to watch he doesn't start swearing!

It was Paul'sBig Issue comments that scuppered him...as well as everything else! It was a real eye opener as I really rated him unitl then.

What were his Big Issue comments? I vaguely recall he faired badly at the interview but cant remember the specifics. Paul was an obnoxious sod and like some other posters said Tre might be cocky but he can deliver and speaks a lot of sense. he was the only one who got the cons about giving % sale price of the trainers and has a bit of business nous. Paul just wanted to be Peter Kay, crack jokes and slag off the others.

Oh but he WAS funny at times.

And he did sell well from what I remember. He was quite good at planning as well.

I wanted him to win personally. I liked him.
