APOLOGIES if there's already a thread on this lurking....

Was mulling this over whilst on an unfortunate car journey from hell...

My three faves, after much deliberation, are:

1. Paint it Black - (tough call along with Bad Day...)
2. You Give me Something (sadly IMO, I never thought Daniel reached this same success after singing this great number)
3. Being Alive by Seamus (loved this performance)

and for a bonus number 4.... Keith when he sang "Love is All around" - really suited him.

Great Thread

In no particular order (actually no, in strict order of preference)

1. Lee - Paint it Black, performance of the series, I don't have the words to convey how good it was.

2. Daniel - The Lady is a Tramp, just adorable, all the charm in the world.

3. Lee - I don't wanna talk about it, gorgeous, I wanted to be that girl sooooo badly

Sorry I hope I'm allowed 2 performances from the same contestant in my top 3.

Bonus number 4. Craig - This is the moment, I was punching the air after this, I knew he had it in him.

If I was allowed a few more choices, I'd imagine performances from Ben and Seamus might slip in there too.

You're allowed extra as you complimented my thread

Sing off between Ben and Seamus when it looked like Seamus had it in the bag and Ben gave it his all.

Daniel's first one - was it you give me something?

And hard to choose between Born to be Wild and Do you love me..............Ben Ben Ben all the way

If I was allowed more am sure a couple of Lee's would be in there

Well if other people are doing group and sing-offs I don't see why I would hold back

Group
1. Do you love me, this was great (especially Ben)
2. Luck be a lady, one of the few traditional musical theatre numbers we got to see, wish there were more of these.
3. Go go go Joseph, great energy in this.

Sing offs
1. Daniel and Lewis, very emotional, but superb performance from Daniel.
2. Ben and Seamus, for obvious reasons.
3. Lewis and Rob, more because I liked the song than any particular attachments to the contestants.

Easy:

Daniel-Lady is a Tramp....totally fantastic
Daniel-You give Me Something....just tingling to hear
Daniel-in sing-off with Lewis
.....and Daniel in Close Every Door....superlative performance, the best I've ever seen/heard.

Ok, of the others, I must admit Lee doing the Daydream Believer was truly beauteous but it's the only time he got to me, possibly because that's one of my fave, fave songs.

Keith's had a few nice performances too.

Ok I'll obey the rules and stick to 3:

He's my brother - because it showed the difference between a good singer and a MT performer. Ben just nailed it esp. with the cheeky pat on the shoulder which had the panel killing themselves with amusement and the audience going wild.

Paint it Black - amazing interpretation - so intense and believable

3rd much harder - perhaps one of the group numbers from last week.

OK i'm going to break the rules - also Blue suede shoes because it was fun! Also one of Keith's songs can't remember which he did great.

Whoops that's 5

Lee - I don't wanna talk about it (not perfect tuning-wise, but really had me engrossed and so subtle - showed me for the first time just how good he is)

Craig - This is the Moment (not one of the best performances, but I enjoyed it as it was the first time we'd really seen what he could do)

Rob - first performance (can't actually remember what it was and again, not one of the best, it was full of so much passion and enthusiasm that I couldn't help enjoying it)

It would be so easy to expand this to a top 10 though!
