Sorry to be so late into the thread

(I've been away, you see

)
My three favourite individual performances are:
1. Rob - Piano Man. Magical. Rob went downhill after this IMO. I know it lost him respect from many people because it's not meant to be exactly a happy song and he smiled through it, but I loved it; I've listened to it endless times since.
2. Craig - Black or White. I love upbeat numbers, and after "This is the Moment" the week before, I'd finally started to love Craig, and was waiting to see what he'd pull out of the bag as a follow up. In my eyes, he didn't disappoint.
3. Lewis - Faith or Hero. As my official favourite, he deserves to be in here somewhere. I chose Faith because I love the song anyway, and was so pleased that he got to sing it in the first show. I know some people didn't think that it did him justice, but I thought it showed off his dancing skills well, and he held the vocals. Loved it. It goes against Hero, which is possibly his best vocal of the series. After two consecutive weeks of being in the bottom two, he really needed to pull something special out of the bag. I saw Hero as the kiss of death myself, but after the last line ("I can be.....your hero") I just knew he'd nailed it. I just hope he keeps the standard up this week.
Special mentions also go to Craig's This is the Moment, Lee's Daydream Believer, Chris B's Walking in Memphis, and, for comedic value (sorry!

) Antony's Patience.
Favourite group songs:
1. Pinball Wizard, of course! Just brilliant, and I'm suprised I've not worn out the Youtube video of it lol, I've watched it so many times. I just get such a great feeling when I hear Seamus' "Ever since I was a young boy....." which lasts 'till the end of the song, everytime!
2. Do you love me? - Very dancey, and fun, and a great song anyway! I thought Lewis stood out in the performance, and my friend said that it (almost) made her forget someone was going to have to leave in the next show!
3. One Vision. When I first heard it, I really didn't think it lived up to "Pinball Wizard" (it was the week after), but after many more listens, I've realised it actually does, but nothing will come close to beating PW in my eyes as the ultimate group song.
Sing Offs:
1. Lewis and Rob. I was so convinced Lewis was going home (as I was Lewis & Daniel - actually convinced wasn't the word, I'd have bet my house on Lewis leaving that night!) and the song was really emotional - it was just fantastic. I didn't enjoy the Lewis/Daniel one as much because a) I thought the song went on far too long - I just wanted to get it over with! and b) I was in tears anyway because I thought Lewis was going, so I wasn't really paying much attention to the song!
2. "Everything I do" - between Craig and Antony. I've not seen this for ages, but remember I quite liked it at the time. I must go and see if it's on Youtube.
Close Every Door:
1. Daniel. It was so emotional, for Lewis fans too.
2. Antony - He could have held his own in MT, IMO. He just got a really hard to sing, Gary Barlow really has got talent, but he is also quite a bit older, so IMO it was unfair to give Antony that song when he could have had something perhaps had something that wasn't such a struggle. From the way he sounded when he sang Patience (on the chorus' high notes) he must have had trouble in rehearsals with it - why no-one really picked up on it until it was too late, I'll guess we'll never know.
3. Chris C/Craig - Chris C - it was such a shock after his mediocre solo performance to find that he could sing - and more-so move people - in such a way as this. Craig - I was so happy at Lewis being saved by the public vote, that I wasn't really paying attention.....! But I do think Ben should have gone in Craig's place, as Craig had a better voice for the part IMO.
I'm sorry I can never give straightforward answers.....
