She's a rarity in that she just seems like a normal young woman without a hint of being a typical BB female caricature. I mean, I guess the "I hate men" thing played into that a bit, but even that seemed joking. She just seems like a nice girl you could imagine talking to for a while if you met her.

it will be interesting to see how they edit the highlights re Nicky the next couple of days.

Thursdays show she was pretty much non-existent in the HL's. I was afraid they were going to 'do an Imogen' on her. Although to be fair she wasn't really that prominent that night, but I was quite annoyed the didn't show the rest of the clip of her argueing with BB in the diary room that they showed on BBLB, it looked pretty funny.

Friday HL she was featured more. Talking a lot of sense and having quite a few nice chats with a number of housmates, it seems like she's the shoulder to cry on and the 'supporting actress'.

Which I think she ultimately is really. I like her, she's my favourite but I don't see her as creating big storylines as such, rather supporting the other housemates and being someone they look up to. Sort of like Imogen last year only hopefully with better edits.

BUT... with her key involvement in the arguement and the invetable positive edit of her (BB would have to do a complete hatchet job to edit it in any way other than Nicky= right and Charley=wrong) by next hl's will Nicky become a real contender?

I'd like to think a normal female could win BB.

I think one of the reasons why I like Nicky is she reminds me of the kind of HM they would have put in the good old days of BB1-BB3. I dunno brings back good memories or something.

In general the housmates all seem more grounded this year compared to recent BB's I think.

They do seem to be fairly sane so far

I have commented on her attitude towards Charlie a number of times, since last night.. when, in her own ('world weary' ) way, she decided to give Charlie a hand in basic interpersonal skills and what Charlie needs/wants to get out of the BB experience...

Like a poster said earlier in this thread... Nicky appears to be the type of Housemate that would have been selected for the early BB shows.. although, I would go further and would add she is the type of 'interesting' and 'person of substance' that I thought BB was going to be all about back before it even started.

Seems mature, for some reason I thought she'd be quite argumentative but by the looks of things she handles things in a more dignified manner, so good on her!

She was incredibly honest with charley , altho the way charley exploits everything I wouldn't be surprised if she
uses it against Nicky .


It takes about a week to get to know a HM I feel , but Nicky is my fave at the moment , hope she gets a good edit tonight .

Shame it won't be shown on the Highlights show because of no program on Sat. night. Classic example of how to handle a petulant child.

She seems a little serious but she has had some contentions already, she has a great smile and laugh.

My favourite part so far was when she was hiding in the bath, and the twins were telling a story about 'fashionable sheep' and she was in fits. She seemed genuinely relieved to have some fun.

She's definitely my favourite so far.

I wish they'd stop calling her a "man-hater" on bblb etc.
this was obviously just one of those VT remarks , but if she's not in the HL show much and that's all people hear about her ...

btw - does anyone know what that white cream is she puts on her eyelashes at night , what's it for ?

I think you had to be there.

They were giggling their way through a story about them camping in a field, and they were taking the piss out of each other by doing baa-aaa noises when the real sheep turned up.

The sheep had black and white legs and one of them couldn't stop saying how the sheep were 'so fashionable' in their legwarmers.

Incredibly stupid story but it creased Nicky up into a fit of giggles.

I'll also enroll in Nicky's appreciation thread because she is currently my third favourite and if both Laura and Lesley get the boot or walk, Nicky'll be my number on girl. She's a great person from what I've seen and I'd also like to wish her a very happy birthday.

Just dropping by to pledge my allegiance to the wonderful Nicky. Let's hope her reign as the Queen of BB may be long and prosperous.

Bit too much of a girly girl for my liking but I just love those big eyes.

I think she came out really well in tonights highlights...she was well able to hold her own against Charley
But i wish BB had made it a bit more clearer just how long the food was waiting there before they ate it and they omitted the comment Charley made in front of Laura and a few others in the bedroom that she(Charley) was only a size six and the rest of them were fat and had enough on their bodies to sustain themselves...pretty nasty.....plus they never showed Lauras arguement with Charley about not looking at her when she speaks...because Charley just kept looking in the mirror checkin herself while complaining

Nicky will go far....as long as Ziggy doesn't nominate her(but even if he does, then i don't think she will go)...and i can't see that would....then i don't think the rest would be quick to nominate her

Anyway i think she is pretty cool

This girl is fabulous. Did you see her tonight? Kind, caring, considerate and funny. The birthday hat in the diary room was hilarious.
