The dark horse?

AWT has a sense of humour (I think) and can also feed 'em good ....

A much better choice than that Rusty .... *shiver*

A dark horse indeed...I don't think he'll win, but I see he's getting into the spirit of it by cooking snake and ordering pickled scorpion etc.

He's regarded as being a bit tetchy to work with so that should be interesting.

Did anyone ever see The Fast Show take-off of AWT and Oz Clarke? I don't know why the FS wasn't sued, it looked pretty suggestive to me. I hasten to add that both guys are married.

He's a Tory fool......

And also he has a plastic eye socket because some man punched him in a road rage incident?

Is this fantasy? I like AWT but not sure where the blurry line between truth and fantasy is!!

I like the guy a lot.

He told his story in a funny way, and never once played the sympathy card.
He comes across as very laid back, but at the same time, amiable and amusing.

He was four years old and ran away with a tramp?...Christ, give me strength.

Yes, today he's my favourite. All hail Worra,..or is it Wozza?.. or is it The Human Hedgehog?

He campaigns for the Tory party and he's very vocal about it...I saw him a lot during the last London Mayor election (despite the fact he actually lives outside London)....also note last nights ITV show in which he mentioned Tony Blair as a nanny...needs to control...that's his political convictions coming out.....So I'm not making it up....He's totally tory...

Huh? What's that got to do with anything on here?

Shouldn't that be in a different thread on another forum perhaps titled:-
" Socialism Really Does Work...Honest Guv "

By all means start such a thread bystander....I merely point out that AWT is a Tory fool....it's as valid any other way to view a celeb (some people go on looks would you believe)

I cant argue with him over Tone, but I've just read an interview that says he was considering standing as a Tory MP.
And it does matter to me- Political views tell a lot about people. Mes, you were right.
Come on Tuffs!

...but it came out of the blue, almost as though you were standing on a street corner shoving unwanted political dogma leaflets in peoples faces.

They might tell you a lot about people with relatively extreme views but they won't tell you very much about those that are middle of the road.

If he's thinking of standing as an MP, then he must be pretty passionate about it! Hardly middle of the road.

tally - I can't believe you just said that!

How could you decide a person's fate in a light entertainment show based on his politics ?

Surely the way he has conducted himself and his contribution to the group as a whole should be paramount.

He hasn't had words with anyone. He's fed them all extremely well and been so helpful to the women in general - yet it counts for nothing because of something he MAY do in the future?

Wait till Hugh hears about this....

LOL OK faequeen.I'm in a better mood now.We had a powercut when I woke up, and the only thing I could get to work was my laptop and my mobile!
The joys of living in the middle of nowhere-with only one source of power. Leccy's just come back on and I've had my cuppa now, so I'll judge him on what I'm seeing.

Still dont like his politics though!

He could be a left wing conservative which would make him pretty much middle of the road.

Yup, & that would certainly make him much more left wing than the majority of the Labour party these days!!

If AWT is to the right of Tony Blair then he's not middle of the road. In fact, he's very right wing indeed, and we are very justified in making judgements based on that.

I've never voted Tory in my life and I don't intend to start now!!

Well who would have thought that 50 years later he'd be sitting in middle of t' road drinking Chateaux de Chassaulay.

Came out of the blue Nice one....
It was a throw away comment, I didn't think it would upset anyone..I just happened to know that AWT is a passionate Tory (and not middle of the road) and hearing him talk on the subject in the past has put me off him a bit....

We have crossed words like this before Bystander so I know how you stand.... No disrespect meant to you or your views...
