Apparently at some time last year a group of BBC execs did an in house spoof of the apprentice for a training day or something and it involved a QVC shopping task.

They are not allowed to mention The Apprentice or say they are in a competition. They usually say they are making a business documentary. I dare say people sometimes guess.
The show is filmed starting with the initial boardroom on Monday 2nd October. The start of task 9 was on Monday October 30th. So they average two tasks a week. Most tasks are one day of preparation and one day of selling/buying, with the boardroom on a third day, so they probably get one day off a week. I know I've said all this before, and probably in the thread the original poster is referring to. The evidence is collected in another forum: http://forum.theinternetforum.net/in...?topic=23550.0 Ifti was probably home within the week, and even Jadine made it out well within a month. Whingers! |

So when they moan about not having seen their kids for 10 weeks, they're telling porky pies? Thought so.

Ifti was a special case because his child was very ill when he left home, vomiting etc, and he wasn't able to find out whether she was any better.Personally I think Jadine can be forgiven for letting it get to her for one evening, especially as she performed OK the next day. It may only be a month, but when on tasks they seem to start really early (eg with the phone call at 5am and several candidates already awake to answer it) and they are often working or planning late into the night. In addition they have no real friends there - no-one who is on their side, that they can trust and unwind with. A month of that is a lot. |
