Actually you could be right - success too young is not always a good thing. A lot of us Ben fans want him in 2nd place for that very reason. I think we are getting carried away because he is still there when he looked like he didn't have a hope in h*** of getting anywhere. I do have great faith that he will get something out of this if not Joseph.

But as for the confidence /cockiness, I know from people that know him (yes this is the truth!!) he is very determined and driven and not cocky at all but yes full of confidence which you would have to have to be on that stage every week and if ALW is going to choose a young one over Lee then I hope it is Ben (it could go to Keith's head and possibly Lewis but reckon Nana jean would keep him grounded )

Ben has only been at Conti's for about a year and a half - he is in the 2nd year as is Lewis, but Lewis has been at the school since he was 13. Don't know how many singing lessons he actually has (by the way they are group lessons - solo lessons are privately paid for) but I did see him sing a solo at a concert early in his first year and thought it was beautiful. Ironically "You Raise Me UP".

IMO Lee is safe

Wow that is nice to hear I have always said they are not stupid to put a contestant through that cannot sing the songs required. They must know their singing capabilities and they are casting a muscial not Brecht

By the way aren't I right in saying that this school only take la creme de la creme so both boys must have had something to get in in the first place?

I understand where you are coming from but I do think Ben has had a bad press on the ballads. ( all the sing offs have been ballads and only had a few bum notes with sing off with Craig which immdeiately followed Craig's one bum note). Daniel was flat as a pancake that same week and said he was horrified on an eviction interview. Also said he had never sang flat in his life. I know he certainly wasn't as bad as Ben that week but do think it needs to be taken into the equation. I get the feeling that the band and accoustics is not good and allt he boys have asked for the band to be turned down

Why can't ALW do whatever he chooses? he did with Daniel! - he had never been in the bottom 2 - rest assured No One is Safe! - not even The Chosen One!! and how do people know what Zoe thinks? - some posters are getting a little too excited thinking that it is a One Horse Race!!”

You're telling me that you think ALW will choose to kick out who he wants, with complete disregard for the phone in votes? And all the money that the phone votes rack up for the BBC???????

Daniel was voted into the sing-off and was booted off. ALW was hardly breaking the rules and going off on a bender....

I think we should remember though that not everyone who picks up the phone to vote will actually buy tickets to see the show.

Think pop idol and Michelle Mc manus. people voted like mad but did not buy her album. I always find this a strange phenonema

Sorry misread your post but will leave my comment anyway as think it is valid

When it comes to the actual Final the unknown factor will be the extra votes coming in from viewers who have only tuned in to watch that main show and who haven't actually followed the whole series.

The thing about a successful series such as this is that many people do get drawn into watching the Final, because they decide at this late hour that they want to find out what all the fuss was about. They then find that they want to place a vote on who appeals most to them because they get drawn into the excitement of if all.

That unknown quantity is what could turn the contest upside down or give the predictable result most seem to be expecting.

That's right - it's down to the tourists. I stated this weeks ago, on a different thread, that ALW has got to be thinking about what is going to draw in Mrs Heffelbum from Boofoo, Iowa.

Keith used to be my favourite by a country mile, but now I want him gone, with Lewis. I've been waiting for him to act for a while now, and I'm fed up. He could well win it and yet he's just hasn't shown the flair for acting at all.

Judging from the latest little snippet they've put up on the website, they've copped on to Keith's lacklustre acting. I'd say this will turn into this week's big challenge for Keith. They'll be watching him closely, if he doesn't pull it out of the bag now (finally), the panel won't hold back.
