SAS To Get Sent Decoupage Card

My mother told me that crafting queen Dawn Bibby made a card on QVC yesterday that she is going to send to SAS, so he knows what decopage is!
Both my mother and I enjoy crafting and sending hand made cards, neither of us is called Mavis and we don't have "ample bosoms" and no life! Thank you Katie!

If both Katie and SAS took their heads out of their backsides they would notice the vast number of craft magazines, craft shop and internet sites that have been appearing over the last few years - there is big money to be made there but they are either to patronising or ignorant to see that.

The decoupage was chosen by Naomi, not Katie. Naomi knew what it was (and that it would sell if presented properly) but Simon didn't know and didn't learn. Maybe the present should have been sent to him.

The decoupage may have had nothing to do with Katie but she did particularly mention that Mavis of the ample bosoms and no life was also a knitter. Like Julia Roberts, Madonna, Iman, Hilary Swank, Cameron Diaz, Daryl Hannah, Goldie Hawn, Winona Ryder, Julianne Moore, Kate Moss, Madeline Albright and Sarah Jessica Parker. Even Russell Crowe has been spotted with knitting needles although he may have been using them as weapons.

According to trend predictor Faith Popcorn, "Smooth, shiny and uniform is now equated with crude and cheap, especially when compared with the individuality of hand crafted products. We are very hungry for things that have touched human hands. Handmade things with all their wonderful, charming imperfections have a very rare value. Any craft as applicable and pragmatic as knitting has a great future."

All my stuff has been touched by human hands. Granted, the human in question is probably an 8 year old in a South China sweatshop But still - this is a silly line of attack.

And as for knitting, if you can show me anywhere where I can buy wool more cheaply than I can buy a completed sweater then I may take it up (I am not joking - the last time I bought wool it was so my mother could knit something for my daughter. Although the finished product was indeed lovely - my mother has won awards for her knitting - the cost of the raw materials was several times what an equivalent product from Mothercare would have been). It's definitely a hobby for the idle rich these days
