It was Carmen! Yippee

If you ever want to read the US stuff, HERE is a pretty useful source.

I only have two words for you this week - Thank God. Carmen finally went home, and she deserved it. Even singing her departing song you could hear her going off key. Nice girl, not a great singer. I sure hope Trenyce and Josh go in the next two weeks. Last year it was a tragedy because one of the best contestants was sent home instead of one of the worst during the top four show.

Great link, Tally!

Well, this just about ends my interest in the show.

Carmen hadn't the best voice, but when she did country/ leann stuff I actually found her interesting to listen to.

Frankly, she was absolute garbage some weeks, but maybe I suffer from the Acerben pretty girl syndrome you identified!

As for those remaining, I'm just not interested in them as artists to be honest!

Apart from Josh who is rubbish, and Trenyce who is average, they're all right technically, but their music isn't really anything I'd listen to for pleasure.

They're well behind anything already out there in my opinion.

Christina has a far better pop voice, Norah Jones for the slower stuff, and young Delta Goodrem for the early Celine/ Mariah stuff are far better.

Perhaps they'll do all right in the US market, but I can't see any of them selling in London or elsewhere!
