After a terrible experience with a Sony Ericsson K800i, which after 10 months on Orange, I've had enough of, I'm going to buy a phone on ebay to see out the remainder of my 18 month contract.

I've got my eyes on a Samsung D900 or a Samsung P300.

I like the look of these, and have had Nokias in the past, can any one recommend either of these phones, or suggest an alternative for around or under £100?

Feature wise, I'm just looking for something with a decent events calander, that can play MP3s, a few simple games, and a camera. It's more the size/shape thing that I'm after, both the D900 and P300 are very small.

Does anyone know what the phone is that is rectangluar, and about the size of a lipstick? I've seen a couple around, but none on ebay.

Thanks!

X830 it is, also comes in black, thankfully.

Anyone got any experience with either the P300, D900 or X830?

Maybe i'm out on my own here, but aren't all Samsung mobiles "basically" the same! Wot is the significant difference between the D600, E900,D840, D900? All i can see is slimmer and 3meg camera on D900! Not much really.

I heard the E900 is meant to be really nice. My mate's just got one in pink/red colour, but they do it in black too

Probably like the Motorola ones then, albeit with the customer getting more for their money. What model of phone would you recommend?

I'm bias cos i have a K800. Don't get me wrong i like Samsungs, they just need to increase there specifications with new models, not just release different designs. They need a sliding 3G with a 3Meg camera with auto focus, real flash. Stuff like that. Dont know how many agree with me on this.

I know ur not keen on K800's so i really would struggle recommending a phone to you.

Yeh it's packaging and marketing. If you're not bothered about the camera and just want to make and receive phone calls the D500 is perfectly satisfactory!

eddie 2004 i completely agree but at the same time love samsung lol, they are a real good brand in my opinion.

I have a Z540 and am really happy with it so ill add that to your recommendations magikmax, its not a common one as far as i know a retro-like flip, as for your specifications, there are game demos, some in 3d as well, there is a calendar but ive never really used it, the mp3 is fantastic for a phone and quite decent loudspeaker without earphones, camera is really nice in my opinion, makes some cool quality wallpapers for the phone.

However I myself am thinking of getting the F300 which I think would also suit ur needs!

I am on O2 and quite fancy the Samsung U600. However its only on contract. I dont know much about this stuff-will it eventually be available on Pay and Go, and if so, how long will it take? Also do other brands have Pay and Go versions before others?
Any advice welcome.
