My God, I am shocked by some of the stuff that's been written on this thread. She might be mean about her fellow competitors who must get on anyone's nerves after all that time, but I'm sure she loves and cares for her children. To suggest that they would be better off in care is a terrible suggestion, and on a par with the very comments which people chide Katie for making.
I couldn't agree more. To castigate Katie for making the same sort of comments as are being made here about her strikes me as the height of hypocrisy.

I suspect, being the mother of two small children as well as having a busy career, she has little time to blog or be much on the internet, but her comments are very similar, and much milder, than one reads every day.

For the record, I like Katie (and am of this country, rjones1234) but for those who find her comments offensive/unpalatable:

Recognise yourselves and weep.

I like her too. I find the people on this board who hate her quite worrying.
I don't hate her; hate's a very strong word. But I certainly don't like her.

I don't hate Katie at all. Before the french-market episode she was my favourite, however she was really stupid in that episode. I think that she is great at what she does, but that the editing is unfavourable towards her. She made a few nasty comments, but she said no worse than what other people have said about her (particulaly on these forums).

I think we should give her a break!

Lohit to win - he is soooo sweet!

She's just cleverer than the others. Why work 80 hours a week for Alan Sugar for £100k when you can create a lot of interest in yourself and earn ten times as much doing media work?

You think making nasty comments about people is a bad thing? Go speak to multi-millionaire Simon Cowell about that.

sounded like an accident I was shocked to hear her say she'd decided to run the New York Marathon and if she was still pregnant by end then she was 'meant' to be pregnant. She sounded so matter-of-fact as if she was prepared to risk having a miscarriage for the competitiveness of running a marathon!

I thought that too, and i'm more surprised that that hasn't been mentioned on this thread... she was talking about it like it was a perfectly normal thing to do... she's a really strange woman and I don't like her one bit.

I know it's strange no-one seems bothered that she said this. As far as I know that it's against doctor's advice to do such heavy duty exercise whilst pregnant.

I would think if you were a regular marathon runner it would be okay up to a certain stage - I'm sure Paula Radcliffe was out running until quite late on in pregnancy and back out again pretty soon afterwards. It wouldn't be advised if you were an inexperienced exerciser.

But Katie seemed to imply that she knew there was a danger, that's what struck me more. Maybe it's just because it's Katie saying it, it just sounded wrong.

How do you know the country hates her?

Met everyone in the country have you?
Well I think it's fair to say that the general opinion of her is not very positive. I didn't say everyone hates her now did I? There are bound to be some exceptions. All I meant was it would be very horrible to witness such ill-feeling towards your mother. But thankfully her children are too young to understand I would imagine. Unless they are super-brainy children!!

Oh and I haven't met everyone in the country. There's still a few to go

I don't think I said anything offensive did I? I'm equally appalled at the "put them in care" suggestions. I didn't even say whether I like Katie or not. For the record I think she's playing the game very well and is probably being edited very badly.

Very glad to hear you are of this country. The more the merrier! Didn't say everyone in the country hates her, just that's the general impression reflected, if not created, by the media.

Katie's part on Sunday's show was very well in her favour until she shot herself in the foot again when she once again bashed Adam.

She really is a shocking woman. Has she actually mentioned her children on the programme?

Many of the others, male and female, have accepted that they are making a sacrifice by missing precious time with their children. A great motive, as through The Apprentice experience they hope to build a better future for their families.

What is Katie's motive?

I was stunned by this comment too as if she hoped running the marathon would bring on a miscarriage, it was so callous the way she said it and not a hint of emotion. I don't think I've seen anyone so detached from their emotions in a longtime, it is quite unnerving!

My thoughts exactly. She said she found out she was pregnant, *then* decided to run the NY marathon because if she was 'meant' to be pregnant, then she would still be pregnant after the marathon.

She was basically saying that she was using the marathon as a survival test for her unborn baby! It's like, 'okay you unborn baby, I'm going to run a marathon now. If you LIVE, it means I'm meant to have you. If you DIE it means you weren't meant to be. Okay? Good luck!'

She's bloomin mad that Katie.

She's an awful woman. She suggested that there are a number of very different Katies - the business one, the actress, the mother etc, and somhow that made it okay to go around making so many enemies. I feel for her poor kids, she might be successful, she might not be the same at home as she is in the boardrrom fine, but you can't just switch it off. She's an incredibly arrogant, pompous woman and sooner or later it's going to rub off on her kids. Some example.

Also - she's 31?!!!! 31! I almost fell off my chair! Either she's lying through her teeth, or she's had a VERY hard life. I'd have put her at about 40 being kind.

Why do people always have to on about their children!? Even Tre (who has children) found Jadine's whining on about her children tiresome

Just because you haven’t heard Katie use her kids as some sort of sympathy card, doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about them! In fact it just shows how she is trying to win on merit.

Yawn yawn yawn!!! You lot are unrelenting in your ability to be wound up by Katie. Just accept her for what she is, the best thing that has happened to the Apprentice. Because without her it would be so boring.

Oh and for her looking older than 31, I suppose you're all Dorian Greys are you???

I've always been a big fan of Katies ever since she first wished death on Adam.

She's very funny, but I think her dry sense of humour is lost on some. They take her comments too seriously.

All was fine until she insulted knitters. Then she crossed the line with me.

same here, I could just about take the anti-northern comments but when she started on about people with big bosoms...that was it.
