This is the whole problem with casting by competition that utilises the public vote. In the normal way of auditioning, the producers/directors whatever would have the final say. ALW is probably rightly worried about what the public vote will be, so he had to kick out other people who may have won the public vote, as and when he had the opportunity. Keith obviously has a lot of support, but I don't think he's the right person for the job (inasmuch as there is someone right for it). I don't think Lewis has enough public support, given that he's been in the final two so many times. I would pay to see Lee in the part (if I were taking my kids to see it), but not Keith. He doesn't have the stage prescence or the acting ability.

I agree 100 % keith always looks boyband happy chappy imo ( not joseph at all )

I can't see Keith as boy band material either, but a lot of people are into new renditions of old numbers at the moment. I can see him getting more into that. As long as he improves his diction though.

I think Lewis will do well in a few years time. He responds well to guidance. He may look older, but he's still very young.

I don't know why, he always said he wanted to discover a new talent with a young, poppy style. Thats not Lee is it, so for all the conspiracy theories he must have shot himself in the foot on day one then

All my sons mates like Lewis or Keith (ages 8 - 10, 6 of them) They see Lee as 'the old one' lol.

Prepare for the kid's voting ( and I just know that's how we ended up with Scooch!! Kids I tell you with their dang mobiles.) Keith is favourite at the bookies. He may well do it - and if ALW can assume he can turn an unknown talent into a West End star, then I think he will. He kind of has to really doesn't he though

? Paddypower has Lee at 1-5 to win, Keith is 7-2, and Lewis is 12-1.

That's nearly the same as the William Hill odds too Jcello. Lewis is 14-1, which puts Lee as fave.

I think peeps get confuddled with how bets work. I know I used too.

So, if you're putting a bet on Lee, it would cost you five pounds to win one pound back and so on.

Still anyone's game though really isn't it.

Lee has been number one with the bookies since day one so i'd love to know which bookies she/he's referring to....

That's rather scary, really! If Lee's old then I must be nearly ready for my bus pass! I suppose it's all relative

He's not actually, it's still Lee (and by quite a margin). I think you quoted this on another thread and misquoted Lee's odds as 5-1 when they are actually 1-5. Makes quite a considerable difference.

That said, as a Lee fan, I'm very scared of Keith and bookies odds or no bookies odds I think he could pull it off on Saturday if things go his way. Despite all you say about the young poppy Joseph, I don't think he's the one Andrew wants for the part though. I think Andrew's still fixated on Lewis.

but how many kids of 8-10 are gonna be off to see the show! only if their parents take them!

My kids are 10, both girls, and they like Lee. I'm just about old enough to be Lee's mother (if I'd started very young), let alone Lewis's, so they all seem young to me.

There are some dark sides to the role of Joseph, and I'm not sure either Lewis or Keith could pull that off. Time will tell of course. I don't think the end result is that predictable, though I think Lewis will almost certainly come third.

Also if ALW just wanted a poppy boy band chappie, why on earth did he put through people like Seamus, Daniel, or even Craig, as well as Lee. None of them match those criteria do they?

Zoe's comments on the semi-final from the ADWD BBC website:

The show's voice coach praises Ben.

Wow, what a final it's going to be! I am so excited as, I know, are Keith, Lee, and Lewis. I did think you guys would vote Ben to be in the final, I have to say, so I am shocked that Ben left. All of us on the panel think Ben is an unbelievable performer and he will go far. I am sure he will be in a musical as soon as possible.

I actually thought this week was quite a weak show for singing. There were a lot of nerves coming through from where I sat and I was on the edge of my seat for most of it.

I hope they manage to give it their all on Saturday and sing through their nerves. Thank you all so much for supporting the show and all the boys, it's been a real pleasure.

(I must say I made those bits bold myself

wahey ben has gone! thank god

i have to say a lot of people thought that lee had run away with this but from what im hearing in other places keith has a LOT of fans

although i think keiths voice is the best and most suited to joseph role, i cant see him with the acting side
i'd be quite worried if he won as hes not the best actor

IMO you need an all rounder for musical theatre, a brill voice but no acting is no use! as is just the acting and not being the best singer

this is why lee has to win, he can act and sing both mucho excellantly

I think they all have a lot of fans, and so they should. All of them are very talented. The result is by no means certain and I'm sure we'll all be rooting for our favourites (if they are still in).

My 10 yr old daughter also thinks Lee is best [by a way] my 7 yr old son likes Lee and Keith ... my 14yr old niece also thinks Lee is fabulous and this is despite all the local press/tv for Lewis [aand upto last week Ben].

I liked Daniel and Seamus as well as Lee but I think he really is the only one left who could pull this off [at the moment!] ... in the group numbers the last two weeks, when they are singing together, Lee is the only voice that stands out/has the strength to be identified and it always sounds great.
