he actually admitted tonight on the show that he had made a mistake when he got rid of Aoife in Maria

is it not possible he made a mistake getting rid of some of the other Josephs like Daniel and Seamus?

I reckon hes regretting some of his decisions right about now.

I don't know about the Josephs but I inwardly cheered when he admitted the Aoife thing.

true - but at least he finally made the right decision now and got rid of the publics least fav contestant - ben. pity ALW didn't see sense ages ago when he saved ben over seamus - bet he regrets that now! and people said seamus had a bad attitude - nothing compared to ben!

Who did ALW save to keep Aoife in?

Neither of those two in the sing-off should have been in the show at this stage. Ben should have gone out to Seamus and Lewis should have gone out to Daniel.

Daniel, Lee and Keith would have been such a just final. Instead one of the weaker contestants is in there.

I thought both Chris' should have lasted longer.

Really not sure what the public see in Keith - good voice but little else.

It's ok, your memory has served you well! It was definitely Siobhan.

Yep, Siobhan and then in the final he completely changed his mind about her and decided she couldn't do it.

When ALW saved Ben over Seamus I was disgusted with him and thought he'd lost the plot completely. But one of the great pleasures in this show for me (particularly after we lost Daniel) has been watching Ben develop as a performer and I am so glad now we had him as long as we did and I have no doubt the lad will become a star.

And you know what, he was so gracious in defeat, that I really think the anti-ben brigade should cut him some slack.

Saving Lewis over Daniel though, that was a mistake and you'll never convince me otherwise.

I know what you mean. Both Ben and Craig looked as if they might go out early on, but both improved loads... it would be interesting to know what some some of the early exits could have done... but we'll never know!

Yeah, I agree totally, I think it's so unfortunate for those that go really early on in the competition, because we never really know what they could have done given time and work. I think that Chris Crosby and Johndeep both had great qualities and could have brought something interesting to the role, but we'll never know now.

Andrew made the wrong choice tonight.

I'm absolutely staggered that he saved Lewis over Ben, and especially after he questioned Lewis' ability to perform on stage night after night....tonight.

I just dont get Lewis, what do people see in him? His performances are absolutely dire week after week after week. Over the past month Ben has been amazing, his performances have been strong and enjoyable to watch - even if he hasn't the best of voices and they have improved week after week, I can't put my finger on it but there's something like a slight campness in his performances which just adds that extra something which makes his performances that bit more special.

And saving Lewis over Daniel, that was just a joke.

I know what you mean. It was much less clear cut this year IMO. With Maria they all pretty much went at the right time (the obvious exception being Aoife). I think in general the guys this year are younger and less experienced than the Marias were and therefore more likely to improve and have a 'journey' *vomits*, its been unpredictable to say the least and I don't think we've come up with the best final 5 let alone the best final 3.

*claps I agree with ya there hun*

will never ever understand why ALW saved lewis over Daniel if it was on the sing off the surley Dan should have stayed. He know's who he wants to be joesph and thats why hes made some unjustifalbe decisions in my opinion I for one will never forgive him for not saving Daniel

I don't get Lewis either and I was pretty sure he was a gonner tonight, particularly after that comment you mentioned. I think the thing that swung it for Andrew was the fact that Ben had the lowest public vote for the second week in a row. This is all conjecture, but I think if it had been the other way around, he would have saved him.

ALW's choice tonight made perfect sense to me....and I speak as a Daniel Boys fanatic. Let's at least be gracious to wee Lewis...he flowered tonight and I no longer doubt at all he could hack all the pressure. I think Ben went for one main reason: his vocals consistently let him down...as in tonight's exit rendition of Close Every Door. However the boy has undoubted talent and stage presence so who could not wish him well? I just think Lewis outshone him and is a very resilliant kid despite being so fragile at times.
Keith deserves his place in the final too, no question in my mind. Lee was always going to be in it, anyway.
The greatest injustice was losing Daniel...to me he'll always be the quintessential Joseph, even without getting the part! Bet ALW WILL regret expelling him, eventually, and I still have lingering hopes he might even end up sharing the role with the winner.

I totally agree. Lewis was carried through tonight by Lee in their duet. Had he been singing with anyone else, ALW would have put him out. He grates on me and he should have gone weeks ago when it was him and Daniel. Thanks to ALW we have a bland final ahead of us.

Well ALW did say in an interview a couple of weeks ago that he couldn't see Ben in his final three so guess he lept to that.

As a Ben fan i wish he hadn't answered back but as a mum of a son of a similar age - that's what they do at that age- shoot from the hip!!! no conspiracy therories here from me. i am just delighted that he kept him after Seamus and I have had the chance to see him develope and grown and I know he will have some offers lined up ( I know he does )

From now on in it is Lee all the way
