He mentioned it the other week too. Guilty complex??

I think Aoife is an amazing performer and couldn't understand why he "got rid" of her at the time....I also think it was good of him to admit his mistake (not everyone would have been so valiant).

i somehow believe he is putting so much pressure on himself as he knows it is a mistake not to make the same here, which i think is wrong hindsight is lovely but at that moment you have tot rust your instincts. Aoifes talent is shining now and it not has harmed her career at all

I agree. I think he feels he has to say he made a mistake to avoid looking stupid, but at the time he thought the decision was right. I didn't think Aoife was that great on the show either and I remember others on here agreeing last year, so as you said, hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Personally I didn't think Aoife shone last year - could have been the choice of songs (I remember the poor girl struggling with Footloose). I was very disappointed when he saved her rather than Abi, but she was miles better than Siobhan who was saved in preference to her later on.
I only hope at some point in the future ALW will admit it was a mistake losing Daniel and Seamus. A Lee, Daniel, Seamus final would have been a real spectacle and lit up Saturday night.

As a Ben fan i wish he hadn't answered back but as a mum of a son of a similar age - that's what they do at that age- shoot from the hip!!! no conspiracy therories here from me. i am just delighted that he kept him after Seamus and I have had the chance to see him develope and grown and I know he will have some offers lined up ( I know he does )

From now on in it is Lee all the way”

Teenagers may speak that way to their parents - but not generally to adults or strangers. I work with 18 year olds studying theatre - none of them act like that! (in fact, they all think he's a bit of an arrogant so and so)

And you don't speak to people like that if you want to get hired...

Two great final line-ups would have been either:-

1) Daniel, Lee, Seamus or

2)Daniel, Lee, Keith.

No Daniel is nothing short of a disaster.

yes but ben is young and could grow out of that, seamus is a grown man and should have handle himself a little more gracefully.
