Good question. Yet again I feel that the songs they are given to sing could be a make or break scenario. Both Keith and Lee have very strong fanbases anyway.

Certainly Keith, whilst on here he doesn't get thousands of posts on his Appreciation thread as does Lee, seems to have a very big following amongst the viewing public when it comes to votes being cast for him every week.

No matter what the outcome I'm really looking forward to next Saturday night, it should be a real humdinger of a Final!

what did you think of the pompous old ass starring in the Lord of the Rings production who told the boys they'd really have to work hard to prove themselves to him if he knew they'd got the part through the contest? Seems to me the contest is a far, far more gruelling process than any normal audition process could have been!!! A display of thespian snobbery there, I think!

I don't know much about auditioning processes for the West End, but I would have thought a 10 week process is far harder!

I can't imagine they would take that attitude with Lee though.

Unfortunately this is a problem when you are in a reality show of this sort.

Ironically, Brian Protheroe the actor who was so snobby was a singer in the 1970's. He released 4 albums between 1974 and 1976 and had a hit in the charts with the single 'Pinball' the title track of his first album. So he's been involved in the music business as well as acting and really ought to know better when it comes to giving people a chance.

From what i've read those already cast in the production of Joseph want Lee to win, as he has the theatre experiance needed for such a role.

I'm Scottish and don't know anyone who has or would vote for anyone based on nationality. There are almost twice as many people in London alone than in the whole of Scotland....statistical significance in your theory would be a miracle

No offence meant, honest! Just saying Scottish acts tend to do quite well in reality shows, like Michelle McManus and that dreadful duo in X-factor (can't remember their name).

I do think Scots, Welsh and Irish folk tend to support their own whereas the English aren't quite so good at it.

no one actually thought the mcdouggles were good! it was totally silly that people voted for them becuase they were scots.

There are some Scots who do vote purely on nationality then us sensible ones who vote for Lee.

I'm scottish and i must admit i voted for the macdonald brothers...the reason i did it was because they were 2 sweet scottish boys, i knew they didnt have a chance at winning and just liked seeing them scrape through every week...and as for michelle mcmanus, i didnt like her voice so didnt vote for her and i think she had something else getting her votes apart from being scottish.

...keith on the other hand is undoubtedly talented (the brothers were good but not one of the best acts) and as a scottish point of view i dont feel he's enough of an underdog to warrant getting my scottish vote. If i liked him and wanted him to win i would vote, but i prefer lee now that bens gone so he wont be getting my vote.

I agree with you there. It is always like this. Just think of Will and Gareth, they have had to surmount an enormous obstacle - "music snobbery" - much more so than other new singers. And Will has had to contend with thespian snobbery as well. Although when I spoke to one of the actors from The Vortex, he said that Will was great, worked really hard and fitted with the rest of the cast.

My Ben votes will now go to Keith, if Lewis does go first I think his votes will transfer to Keith.

What evidence do you have for that staetement, I have seen no evidence that all Lewis fans vote would follow Keith not even the majority of votes. The votes are more likely to be split 50:50 or in the same proportion that the rest of the GBP are split, which we won't know until the night

Heres a question how come Keith's never been in the bottom 2 if it's been the Scottish vote that kept him in cos Scotland should've been split between Craig and Keith til Craig went therefore one of the times Craig was in the bottom 2 Keith would've been there with him.

Don't get me wrong I don't and would never vote for Keith as for me he is just a good singer not a west end act. And i'm from Scotland

I think the reason Keith is doing well is not just the 'Scottish Vote'.
I think it is to do with some of the production of the programme emphasising him working in Tescos (originally they were bigging up Rob the builder as the ordinary bloke that attention has now passed to Keith) and also the fact that Keith has probably had more songs than most to show off his extraordinary voice and not enough songs to show off his lack of acting ability, and he has NEVER been picked up for his lack of ability/effort in the group numbers.
These points are equally important to the role of Joseph as the singing but are not given same importance by the panel as the voice

I totaly agree with all that you have said. I can't believe they haven't worked on keith's hands although getting better they still make me want to tape them behind his back. They gave the weakest singer Crying but wonder iwhat would have happened if they had given Keith a real acting song. To be fair he did act well in the duet with Ben last night
