Given the fact that Lewis has been in the singoff so often I cannot believe he is a serious contender. The public would have kept him higher up and thus safe from exclusion if he was more popular.
Not sure who will come out from Lee or Keith, I think that Keith has a great voice but am not convinced that he has the package to be able to hold the role.

Some poeple just watch the final so there may be new people voting, no one knows how close Lewis was to the person in second place plus no one knows who the Ben vote is going to go to. Plus when the third place goes no one knows who their vote will go to. There are so many variables when it comes to the final that the only thing for certain is there is no certainty!

Excellent post, and absolutely true. Doesn't matter how much potential Keith has (and I think he has a lot), he's not ready now, and that's what matters. Lewis is 17, for goodness sake, he hasn't got the maturity to carry a full-time role in a major show. I'd like to see him do the occasional performance as understudy and get some experience of large audiences. Lee's the only believable performer in the final, and always has been IMO, at least if you're talking about singing and acting ability as opposed to eye candy.

but then again... Helena was in the bottom two four times last year and gave Connie a run for her money in the final. So I wouldn't be sure, they are likely to be given musical theatre songs as well as Joseph songs in the final and I think Lewis might just end up suprising people.
Siobhan who was heavily praised for little reason (much like Keith) throughout the show suddenly became the also-ran in the final.
Edit: thats not to say I think Lewis should, could, or will become Joseph
lee should win and IS joseph but i just have a funny feeling that keith is gonna win this as i think he will be getting all the 'granny' votes on saturday as they think he's sweet

I've also seen such equally spiteful posts and unpleasant remarks posted by other fan bases about Lee. So dont try and make it out like its only Lee's fans doing this because thats far from the truth.

I could also turn that around and say that I think some (maybe a lot?) of Keith fans are more than a tad worried about Lee for the same reasons that you have mentioned above. It works both ways.

Hi Bluebird. I agree we have no way of knowing who the public are voting for.
I've loved this programme but i do worry about both Keith and Lewis, and the potentially negative impact winning could have on their future careers. I think Keith is phenomenally talented and i think Lewis has the potential to be a brilliant performer and yes they both may feel they are ready for this role, but are they really?
The cast member from LOTR summed it up for me last night - winning a competition for a role like this will cause resentment and whoever wins will have to more than prove themselves to be saved from negative criticism.
The critics will be circling, waiting for them to fail in some way, and i worry for both of them. Theres a future for both of them after this show i'm sure - i just hope if one of them wins it isn't a poisoned chalice
So i'm voting for Lee - hes always been my favourite anyway and he makes me *shudder* too, although not in the same way as you i imagine

I agree with you completely.
I would love to see Lewis come second; but sadly I think he will be coming third - I wouldn't say I'm overly bothered (although obviously I would love for him to win) I'm just pleased he got to the final. I really can't see him beating Keith though.

*waves* I'm a Lewis fan, and although looks were originally what drew me to Lewis I'm not a typical teenie bopper and I wouldn't say I "fancy" him. I like him because he comes across so well for someone so young and because I enjoy his performances. I will vote for Lewis and Lewis alone on Saturday night (partly because I feel the need to remain loyal to him, partly because I said at the beginning of the series that I wasn't going to vote at all
), but my "vote" as it were will be shunted across to Lee, as I think he is a very funny guy (his VT before Paint it Black had me in absolute stitches) and he has proved he can hold his own and should have had a leading role without needing a TV show to do it for him IMO. Keith - well, Keith leaves me feeling a bit "meh". I understand he has a good voice, but if he wins it will show that the voters didn't vote on an all rounder for a west end performer. I won't mind if Keith wins, as my Joseph mad friend who is kindly taking me to see the show in the West End (honestly, words cannot describe how grateful I am towards her!) holds Keith has her favourite, and as she has paid for me and another friend to go and see it with her, at least she would be very happy. Alot of younger Lewis fans may shift their vote to Keith though; he is "young" after all, and I think that's what really young voters associate with best (although I know that's not always strictly true). I do however think that the competition is between Lee and Keith - Lewis is more than fantastic, but I think alot of people find him "too young" for the role, and would prefer someone more mature - but I find myself arguing "Keith's not that much older!"

I haven't voted at all yet if I vote in the final it will be for Lee, if I was paying to go to a show and Keith was starring as Joseph I'd go see something else.
