I've just upgraded my phone to a Sharp GX1, with built-in camera phone. However when I try to send photos I'm told that there has been a server error. I visited o2.co.uk where they pointed out that my settings would need to be updated, and they would send me the details via text, but when I went on the page my phone wasn't listed! If anyone else has a Sharp GX1 on O2 it would be great to hear how I can get this thing working properly! I am on Pay As You Go and am still using the same sim card as I had in my old phone (samsung N500).

Thanks,
Gaz

p.s already emailed O2 and I'm still waiting for a response....

Easiest way is to just phone them up and get them to check if Media Messaging is enabled on your SIM and if it is not, get them to enable it. They should give you the settings too.

You can find the phone number if you go to O2.co.uk, click the Help link at the top and enter your mobile number.

Hehe, sounds easy right?? I've just phoned o2 for the fifth time asking them to enable MMS on my gf's 3510i which I bought tuesday, each time I do they say they've done it, and they haven't. They've just told me they haven't got ANY record of me ring them at all! I'm bloody sick of o2, if it wasn't for their cheap calls I would be on a different network.

Just to add, if it isn't enabled, it will give you an error like that. Nokia's say 'Media Message Sending Failed".

Probably, but I haven't got GPRS on it yet - o2 haven't enabled it.

I'm on o2 P&G myself, and get free GPRS WAP on my 3650.

They told me the same today, which makes me think it might happen this time - before they said it'll only take a few moments.
