ooh he sounds very worried about getting the right Joseph. Who is he doubting was the wrong person/people to get rid off?

Interesting.

I think he may be regretting getting rid of Daniel you know.

maybe, keeping him in might have dropped someone else in the bottom 2 he wanted to get rid of, or seeing how much he has done in two weeks proves that people have faith in him entertaining them for 2 hours+. But hindsight is a wonderful gift.

However he keeps saving Lewis.

Yeah, he's worried about Keith winning because he's a great singer but really not that good an actor.

thats what I thought as well. It seemed he wanted to get rid of him last night, but then again its his fault for not testing Keiths acting and for not pointing out his lack of performance ability.

Basically the guy wants Lewis as Joseph and I think he has done for a very long time.

Fair play to the kid he did impress me last night.

Shame ALW has no say in it now, because i dont think Lewis stands a chance of becoming Joseph next week.

to be fair I think Lewis actually probably suits the part of Joseph better than the others, even Lee. I think he probably has just about enough acting and singing ability to pull it off (not sure about stage presense). My problem is 17 is far too young to be a leading man, especially such a high publisised one.

He would be the perfect Joseph in a couple of years but he is too young right now.

Agree with all this though I think all the under 20's would have this problem. But Lewis is the most fragile.

He is stuck. Lee hasn't got the presence or the vocal oomph much of the time and he isn't the young Joseph pop star variant ALW says he wants. But he can do everything passably or better. Keith has the vocal strength but can't act and the words still run into each other. He looks a bit odd too - as if he is playing some other role at the same time. Lewis looks right but his acting isn't, his voice is nice but has no real power and his hand gestures are annoying enough to have audiences laughing. Its either Lee or Connie starring as Josephina.

Not on the voting we have seen unless its very very close between last in the sing off and second safest. He has featured in the bottom 2 wheras the other two never have.

I didn't get the impression from that clip that ALW wants Lewis as Joseph. He clearly wanted him more than Ben, but that's all.

I think he would be happy with either Lee or Lewis and I have thought that he felt like this from day 1.
1. Lee has already worked for BK/ALW and 2. Bill thought Lewis was Joseph from the moment he first saw him.

I think its now about time you got over your obession with Ben - you should be very happy now that has gone. Have you bought your tickets yet?????????????

I dont think in his heart of hearts ALW really wants Lewis - he has referred to his age on several occasions. I think everybody has to remember that Lewis is only 17 for goodness sake and literally just out of school! This is not a one off role for a movie, or a 1 night show - it's a continuing, harrowing and demanding role week in week out. I know several 17 year old boys, different social status, and in my opinion, the fragility of Lewis and his continual need for his Nan's support, albeit nothing wrong with that, but confirms to me he truly is not ready for a role like this and therefore I sincerely hope he is not voted the winner. There is a reason why we have age limits for different things in this country, and that is because of the differing degrees of maturity. You HAVE to be mature to take on a role like this and I truly do not consider Lewis yet has that maturity. He will in time, but not yet.

I don't have an obsession with Ben - I was just commenting on what ALW said! Though I do find it funny how some of Ben's fans won't hear a word against him. But I didn't think he was good enough, so for that reason I'm glad he's out, though I'm still not sure whether Lewis or Keith are quite ready for this.

And I didn't say I'd buy tickets if Ben went out - I said Lee was the only one I'd definitely go and see but that I'd consider going to see either Lewis or Keith. So I'll wait just a bit longer!

Does sound like that but he was the one who made the decision and he now has to live with it.

I think it's a shame he said he didn't get the time during the week to work with Ben on his acting because that means he's gone in to judging the sing-off with a biais towards the one he worked with - Lewis. Although he did say he was worried about Ben's vocals (aren't we all!). But vocals can be worked on, and I think Ben has more stage charisma.

If they ever do this type of show again, I'd like to see them give equal time to all the abilities needed for a stage show. Singing, acting, dancing to some extent. Have each contestant do a short acting scene each week as well as a song. I suspect Keith would have been out quite early on his acting.

But I got the impression from what he said that he wasn't too worried about Ben's acting anyway, so I don't think it was intentionally biased. I guess he wanted to test out Lewis's acting by giving him a duet that might test him in that way and also to test Ben's singing by giving him a duet that might stretch him. And actually both stepped up to the mark pretty well.

Comments like this just sadden me and bring down the reputation of good forums and debate - I will still go and watch JOSEPH and I will continue to give any help or support I can to BEN & DANIEL! they both have BIG careers in front of them and I am not obsessed!!!

its a shame he didn't bother to stretch Keith in his acting then really he still hasn't proved he is anywhere near good enough yet.

Yes, I still can't understand why that hasn't been a priority yet

Keith is my choice to win, I think Lewis will be the first to be eliminated leaving Lee and Keith fighting it out. Don't think ALW will be too upset of having either Lee or Keith
