I would be worried with keith as Joseph. he is young and very little experience and 8 shows a week on a young (even very powerful) voice could damage his vocal chords for ever- think Connie

From what he said, he sees Keith as a singer and Lee in musical theatre. But he really does have a thing for Lewis although he keeps saying how worried he is about how he is going to cope with being on stage.
I think he would probably made some different choices and had some of the others around for a few more weeks to see if any of the others had more talent.

Keith's acting during his duet on Saturday was awful...I was really enjoying the song as its my favourite andrew lloyd webber one, but when he did that thing at the end where he kind of rejoiced (i cant think of how to describe it), i cringed and my family laughed out loud. It just looked all wrong. Its a shame because his voice is nice.

That worries me about him and Lewis (and would have done with Ben) - it's not good to push your voice too much at that age, especially if you're going from nothing to a lead role. Having said, that, Keith's voice does seem to have matured early.

In a competition though you can't just let the one win who has experience, otherwise everyone has been "duped" of the money made in phone calls and it will just make a laughing stock of what ADWD was all about.

Interesting to read what Broadway World.Com has to say about last night! and those left.

I think you may be right - imo Daniel and Lee are/were the only ones with the all round singing and acting abilities. Keith has a good voice, but, like almost everyone else on here, I'm woried about his acting. Lewis is too young, full stop. (Has improved though.)

From all the comments here I would suspect ALW is maybe having a slight case of butterflies about where his previous choices have hemmed him in now! They all have their weaknesses, that's true, but also their individual strengths.
Don't believe Lewis is as brittle as is made ou , half the time. His patent wide-eyed delight at seeing the backstage proves he'd probably be on cloudnine and nothing could get him down if he won!
Still for sheer star quality and suitability for the role of Joseph, specifically, I think Daniel should have had it as he combined all the good points of the others but with that magical extra....cannot help feel ALW NOW knows ditching him was a blunder of the first magnitude.
