If like the Maria programme the contestants have to sing their best song from a previous performance in the final what do you think they would chose?
My guess would be:
Lee - Paint it black
Lewis - Hero
Keith - now I've struggled with this, he has got a really great voice but none of his performances have really stood out for me. I'll go for Crocodile Rock as this is the only one I can remember!

Paint it Black for Lee deffo!

It was amazing!

Lewis did that Elton John song well - Sorry (seems to be the hardest word)

I think Keith stood out with Always on my mind.

He was in a different league to everyone else that night

I would imagine Keith will go for Love is All Around, didn't that get really great comments from the panel? Showed off his voice and doesn't require hardly anything in terms of acting.

Lewis hasn't had any really stand out performances, but 'Sorry seems to be the hardest word' and 'hero' were both good, I liked 'I saw her standing there' too. Pity he can't do his duet with Lee again, that was Lewis's best performance of the series imo.

And Lee, obviously 'Paint it Black'. That was absolutely sensational.

Lee has to go for "Mack The Knife"........ it's so catchy, everyone in the audience will be joining in and will make the people at home vote

It's light mood will give him a chance to be sexier and cheekier than the intense "Paint It Black" which should pull in another stack of votes

I disagree, this was the week Lee sang Leave Right Now and Daniel did Maggie May both of which were at least equal to Always on my mind and both gave far better performances than Keith, whose sum total of emotion that week was to cry from the begining of the song.

Oddly, perhaps, I think Lee did Dayream Believer to perfection. Maybe because I have always had a soift spot for that song and I think he did it to perfection and it suited the 'light' tone of his voice beautifully.

The one song I do NOT think Keith should try again is Let Me Entertain You....it just doesn't suit his voice at all. His Love is All Around was certainly cracking.

Lewis should do his solo from last Saturday....great stuff!

I think Lee will do either "Daydream Believer" or "Paint it Black" again, but most probably "Paint it Black".

Keith - I would like him to sing "Who Am I" again, from Week 2, but "Love is All Around" is a more probable choice.

Lewis - I have a feeling he will be doing "Sorry Seems To Be (The Hardest Word)" again or "Hero" (I would prefer it if he did "Hero") , but I would really like to see him do "Faith" from Week 1!

I think lee should do 'Bad Day' I absolutely love that one.

Keith should do 'Always On My Mind'

Lewis I'm not sure about since I only like his duet with Lee.

I agree with the main consensus for Lee to re-perform Paint It Black. Let me absolutely speechless that performance did. Outstanding.

'Paint it Black' was possibly his best, but I think it could be less powerful a second time when everyone is expecting it. As his one weakness is being a bit too intense for the part, I think he'd be better with a different one, perhaps 'Leave right now' which I thought he acted brilliantly, but a performance he could possibly improve on on the night. I think they all need to show improvement to avoid any sense of 'yeah, but I've seen you do this' anti-climax, if they are repeating songs.

He's going to win anyway.

Keith - I'd guess it will be 'Love is All Around' though I preferred 'Always On My Mind'.
Lewis - nothing against him but I don't have a favourite of his. But he has the best chance of showing real improvement.

Lewis - Hero
Lee - paint it black, bad day or mac the knife.
Keith - not bothered, haven't liked any of his performances much at all.

Completely agree, apart from Mack the Knife, I liked Lee's performance, but it would suffer from too many comparisons of others that had done it and it's quite tired from being used on so many reality shows.
I would rather he did Paint It Black, Bad Day or I Don't Wanna Talk About It. Although, maybe the earlier post was right about Paint It Black not working a second time.

Lee - Paint it Black or Mack the Knife. Or maybe Daydream Believer...

Keith - Love is All Around

Lewis - Sorry seems to be the hardest word or Hero

Its got to be Paint it Black for Lee, and I think Crocodile Rock for Keith. I've genuinely not been that impressed with Lewis, the song he did best was the duet with Lee - reckon he could sing that?! If I had to pick one of his solos, it'd be I Saw Her Standing There.

Good post! If this makes sense, I think that Lee almost doesn't need to repeat 'Paint it Black' - the majority of us can remember our jaws slackening slightly when he performed it the first time!

Much as I loved Mack the Knife, I feel he would be better off doing something like 'Bad Day' again which emphasises just how good he is at acting a song. Given that he is competing against Keith, who, in my opinion, is not strong in this area, I think this could be important.

I'd like to hear Lewis sing 'Sorry seems to be the hardest word' again. I thought he made a lovely job of that.

I hated keith doing crocodile rock - it was worse than his other performances.

The only one of Keith's that I can remember is Crazy Little Thing Called Love which I thought he did rather well.

Lee - would like Mack the Knife but think it will be Paint it Black.

I actually loved Lee's "I Don't Wanna Talk About It", he told the story of the song better than I've ever heard it. However, Paint It Black or Mack The Knife were both absolute show stoppers.
Keith did a great Brown Eyed Girl and again this is a crowd pleaser.
Lewis could possibly do "I Saw Her Standing There".
I'm going to come clean here and say that I had to trawl to see what songs had been sung by Lewis and Keith, whereas many of Lee's performances have stayed in my head. That to me speaks volumes.
