Orange Unlimited Data Package, Poo.

Hi Guys.

As you might know Orange are due to launch a range of flat rate data packages this month. No sign as yet.

However it has been found out it may be heavily crippled to 1mb of data a day for £8 a month... Compare this with t-mobile for £7.50 a month you get over 33mb a day.

Vodafone are still holding back launching their flat rate data (now due for launch on the 6th) and you will get about 4mb a day.

T-Mobile are clearly making huge headway here, showing again they are the the best network for now.

Okay signal may be slightly hit and miss in some areas but I'm thinking that is a small price to pay.

On another note, where I live in Christchurch Dorset, at my home I can only get signals from t-mobile (3G) and three (3G).

But I guess it’s best to remember mobile networks are like insurance companies, one year their prices are superb and the next you are swapping to get a better deal.

Feel free to flame..

Here's some more tinder for the flaming.

X-Series from 3 is only a fiver, now available on all handsets and offers free unlimited browsing (1Gb Fair usage Policy) and provides MSN Messenger, Skype & Other programs included with that fiver too.

I thought Orange were signaling a change and Vodafone were falling in line. It appears those two offerings are quite disappointing....

Does X-Series allow usage through a computer, with the phone as a modem?

I thought Vodafones was 15Mb a day before you start paying £2 a Mb?

It seems to be a trend for mobile networks to reduce there data rates, Vodafone have just made browsing the wider internet cheaper and now Orange. Its all good news for us! Could be cheaper tho.
