*swoon*

Sorry, but any man who can sing 'Anthem' well would win me over!

For those that don't know here is the song on you tube (unfortunately the only professional version is in Swedish but it is still amazing)

Phil, Were you perhaps thinking I was referring to that lovely piece, Una furtiva Lagrima, in L'Elisir? Sorry for the mix-up and there's no excuse as both operas have uite different stories....one about an elixir of endless life, the other about a gold digging wench only slightly less nasty than Sir Paul McCartney's present (estranged!) mrs...but it all turns out happily in the end! Well, it IS comic opera!

Yes, that's the one I meant... only because that's the one people are usually talking about! I'll have to try and find yours now.

You can get a chandos English translation version on dvd, if translated Italian opera doesn't bother you! The serenade occurs towards the end of the opera as all the plotting to do old Don Pasquale out of his fortune is coming to a head. It's a beautiful piece and is accompanied by a strumming mandolin if my memory serves me right!

I would've preferred to have the boys choose their own songs. Even if they were given specific themes to choose from. Then if the song choice is bad or doesn't suit them they have no-one to blame but themselves.

Which musicals do you think would most suit which Josephs?

For Daniel, I can imagine him doing a few numbers from My Fair Lady....'I Have Often Walked Down This Street Before' would suit his voice and personality exquisitely.

What about Seamus as Prof Higgins?!!

Yeah that would have been fantastic!

Also any of the songs from Blood Brothers- Tell Me It's Not True was fantastic when Lewis and Rob did it- they should have done more!
