The worst song choices

Over the last few weeks I have read and agreed with the many threads on this forum that have discussed song choices and the general frustration at some of the decisions. I was just curious to know which ones in particular really infuriated or baffled people. Which were the ones that made you shout at the telly 'Well, what was he supposed to do with THAT?' Or put simply in forum-speak ->

I'm not thinking of the quality of performance here as some of the Josephs coped brilliantly with some dire choices. I'm thinking more of the songs that they should never have had to battle with in the first place, the ones that made you sympathise with the unfortunate Joseph who had to sing it.

So, what would you nominate for a Song Selectors' Wall of Shame??

Living on a prayer - Lee

Maggie May - Daniel

Ease on down - Ben

Snips, I totally agree with you!

Oh and I would include McFly on the list. Just...no.

Surely, this must include Keith having to cope with that bloody awful Let Me Entertain You?! What was ALW thinking of in landing the kid with that tuneless junk?

Anthony - Patience

yup, poor Daniel got his fair share of duffers, but Evergreen rates as worthy of this thread!

God, how long have you got. Any of the rocky, shouty songs.
When I heard that Lee was doing Daydream Believer, I shouted no, he was awesome, so I was wrong about that one.
I can't believe they didn't at least have one week of show tunes though.
And Crying was just plain mean!

I agree that it was mean to give crying to ben as he doesn't have the vocal ability to cope with a song like that - should have given him an easy song like hes had other weeks, and given crying to daniel, lee or keith perhaps.

Agree with "Patience"..... and giving Lee "All Right Now" - even Paul Rodgers struggles with it live

None of them could have coped with Crying. And if Ben can sing Nessum Dorma he doesn't need easy songs, nor do I think he got them.

Crying and All By Myself - horrendous songs not helped by Ben's lack of vocal ability (have to agree to disagree on Nessun Dorma...)

Sweet Caroline - ghastly!

Both Barry Manilow songs which I have blocked from my memory.

The Kelly Clarkson song that Dan sang...

Living on a Prayer - cheese-tastic song.

Yes. I thought it was beautiful, and I suppose whoever selected him for it must have thought so too. So that makes two of us at least.

Well I'd have to say he did sing it... just not very well, unfortunately.

I thought Daniel had some pretty awful songs, but coped well with his strong vocals. Giving Anthony "Patience" was just unkind - they might as well handed him a gun and watched him shoot himself. (I mean, I didn't particularly like him, but still......)
