It is scored rather like a kids programme - ie if there isnt some exciting swirling noise going on the producers think the kids wont listen or be able to concentrate on the dialogue.

Again more proof of the childish nature of the fayre offered. The producers think we a re all immature babies that need constant distractions or we will turn offer and watch ITV...

AN UPDATE!

The last few minutes of tonights episodes had DREADFUL intrusive music!

I thought a MGM musical was starting when that OTT orchestra started during the bit when he ran into the tardis and regner~~~~

Have to say tonight i disagree. It just added to the epic finale of the episode. Hopefully we'll get a brand new spanking CD for this year too.

From what's been said on Confidential being loud was always part of the blueprint for the re-boot.

The Masters new theme (Sound of Drums) is brilliant.

And I love this years music. So much better than the last 2 years.

I love the music (agree with the poster above - it has really improved this series). Sometimes it can be a bit loud but I have always felt that it has been appropriate to the action and has generally enhanced my impressions of the show.

What did Derek Jacobi say when he locked the Doctor out of the Tardis, as he flipped a pair of switches on the console?

Was it "Deadlocked"

I'm afraid the dialogue was once again obscured by music
