So they've got a chance - but making it is a mixture of luck, talent, looks and persistence.
And it depends a lot on what you mean by making it. Most theatre stars are unknown to most people. Look at John Barrowman - an exceptionally talented MT performer, lots of leads in theatre, I remember hearing he was going to be the next big thing for years and years - but he only became a star to most people because of Doctor Who. (I saw James Nesbitt as a drama student, he was fantastic and could sing, act, everything and he was in tiny fringe plays and adverts for years before Cold Feet - do you write his current success off because he didn't make by 25?) You just can't say - that contestant is the most talented so he'll be the one who makes it, even if you could pick one as most talented (I think they all have strengths and weaknesses).
I think you can tell from the reaction to Daniel's eviction that if Lee doesn't win on Saturday he would be seen as having been robbed, not as having failed (unless he does something incredibly stupid to throw it away, which he won't). That might actually make people more keen to support him than if he is seen as having the show in his pocket since the beginning (fix!, etc).
All of them are going to need such luck, and I hope they get it. Congratulations to them, I have my favourites but I've really enjoyed watching them all. (Sorry, I don't seem able to write short posts.)”
What an excellent post!! *applauds*
We've all got our own particular faves, and want them to win. But I'd also like to wish all of those left in the final all the very best for Saturday!
