I'm starting a new thread as the old one has a redundant freefone number in the first post which is confusing people.

At the moment I'm not aware of any freefone numbers for Sky - however there are a couple of landline numbers which are both still working as of today. These should be a cheaper option than the 0870 numbers that Sky normally give out, and may even be free if you have free calls to landlines on your home phone or mobile tariff.

01506 831781

01506 831783

(NB the second one was answered as Installations earlier today, so maybe try the first one initially)

Please feel free to add any freefone numbers that you find, but please ensure you test them out first to make sure it is possible to get connected to Customer Services.

Thanks

I've used the first number many times with no problems.

Thanks for the info. Does the first one take you directly to what happens when I call 08702404040?

Why don't you give it a try...?

You have to enter your home phone number and then you are connected through to Customer Services.

What type of number is 01506? Is it your local area code, for example 01422 or 0208?

Right, they are both installations! But it must be the Scotland call centre, as the polite lady was deinately Scotish.

Right, this number: 0800 028 7855 directs you to Sky Technical, the options are:

1: Set Top Box
2: Mac Code
3: Sky Broadband

I'll have a look around, as if we can get a full list of the working number's and departments, that will be brilliant for everyone!

OK, 01506 831783 got me through to customer services. I asked where they were based, and the lady said India, so 01506 831783 musn't be installations, it must be customer services.

I think it might depend on what time of day you call and/or pot luck as to whether you get Installations or Customer Services, and whether you get the Scottish or Indian Call Centre.

And no 01506 isn't my local area code, but it's a landline number which is better than a 0870 number.

I think it is the local area code for Livingston in Scotland where Sky is based.

Thanks but there aren't any working 0800 numbers for Customer Services listed on there - they have been disconnected. Any 0800 nos that are still working aren't for CS.

Another reminder that there are some landline numbers for Sky as an alternative to using the 0870 number;

01506 831781

01506 831783

No working freefone numbers for Customer Services at present as far as we are aware
