Am thinking about getting a projector, and somebody mentioned to me a device called an ISCAN, i've read some of the technical specs, but want to know from someone who has used one for Line-Doubling.

It depends on the model you get and the projector you buy, all projectors have line doublers built in but some are better than others.

I have then Sony HS1 and a ISan Pro and it has mad a vast difference to the PQ but at other £500 you would expect it to.

There are alternatives such as the ProV which also give you a built in TV tuner whiich are about £100, but I have not seen these in action so cannot comment.

Your best bet is to find your self a proper HI FI shop and book yourself in for some demos
