Basically O2 rang me and offered me this deal :

100 anytime / any network minutes
500 texts
1MB wap usage
1 month contract which you are not tied into meaning you can cancel at anytime.
Plus I can keep my old number for free.

All for £20 a month.

?

Seems alright. You're not tied to a 12-18 month contract either so if it doesn't work out or if you find something more feasible you can easily cancel. I would consider reading their terms thoroughly though, especially cancellation.

They haven't offered you anything special. It's available to everyone https://shop.o2.co.uk/tariff/Online_20/SIM_Only/1_month

Plus you don't get a new phone either. You'd be better on Three. An 18 month contract gives you 75 any network minutes, 600 texts, a new phone for free, and it's £15 a month for life. http://www.three.co.uk/personal/pric...=1124817780001

For a £15 top-up on O2 you can get 500 texts, then use £10 of your top-up to buy the Home100 bolt on, and £3 to buy 2mb of wap access. You still have £2 left and saved yourself £5 on the contract.

I'm assuming of course you ain't gonna use your mobile for out of town use or Home100 is useless.

Just a suggestion.
