I see nowt wrong with that. It's a business she runs, not some kind of social experiment. As your profit rises, you can afford to spend more when it is required. The fact that these women (who are both models) have a personal relationship with the same guy, is neither here nor there as far as their profession is concerned. Do you think it would have made the press if both women had been married to Jock the brickie? I'm sure it happens all the time, why should she care about their personal lives?

I thought Michelle Mone was brilliant!

Nice to see Katie being taken down a peg or two.

I really expected her to get an easy time...thank goodness the guests put her in her place.

Katie lives in cloud cuckoo land if she thinks she is well liked by the public at large

Well, actually she wasn't. Michelle Mone made a fool of herself imo.

This quote is so out of order. I don't know why people are allowed to get away with saying these things! Katie said she wanted to make a better life for her children, you cannot make unfounded comments like that!

I'm no Katie fan, please don't mistake me for one, but...

...that Scottish woman on You're Fired went too far. She was out of order with the whole "You haven't made it" comment to Katie - well then most of the nation haven't made it by her standards. I thought that comment was snobbery of the highest order.

She was point scoring and made out as though she spoke for me (as "the nation"). She didn't.

I'd agree (except perhaps for the gravy....) She is the typical stereotype of how successful business women are portrayed. She has bought into the idea that you have to appear to have a set of balls to get anywhere, but when all else fails, you flirt to get what you want. Trust is the issue and she aint worthy of it.

I thought it was the other way round.

I'm glad someone told Katie exactly what they thought of her.

Whatever, in this case there was an industrial tribunal taken out against Michelle whateverhernameis, so her claims to get on with her employees are bullshit.

the programme tapes don't lie.........i merely framed it metaphorically.

From the BBC Apprentice website:
"Her torrents of verbal dysentery leave us aghast in disbelief, as each week the blows get lower and her icy put-downs shoot off the top of the Richter scale. Even the most important job in the world, the one of being a mum, didn't escape Katie's ruthless tirades this week. She talked about being a mum as if it's a second rate occupation, and children were something that she found on her shoe".

She may not speak for the entire nation (but then the nation will never agree totally on anything) I would say though, that on balance, she did reflect the views generally held about Katie. Is it not fair to say, there were more against than for her?

She critisised Katie for being bitchy, yet she was bitchy towards her from the begining.
I think the bra woman was a little nasty and not too smart in her put downs.
Maybe Katie slept with her husband!

Katie is pretty lothsome but did laugh a lot and like Trey, her tongue was in her cheek!

That's true, he was an arrogant pratt. From the interviews we can see that Tre is all talk, very little achievement to back up his claims in the 'real world'.

It did seem that the bra woman was just trying to prove a point and to get some applause.

Well, what she, MM, thought of her. Except that MM took the royal plural and assumed she was speaking for a whole nation.

The thing I found the most annoying is that Katie said those things in the context of a gameshow, very much tongue in cheek, whereas Polyanna Mone took a real-life situation to slag off someone when the game is already over.

Well below the waist and she made an utter fool of herself in my view.

I did not like Katie very much in the show, although she provided - together with Tre - the most enjoyable and watchable moments, but tonight she made things right, by staying polite and taking it light-heartedly.

The bra woman displayed many of the traits that she slagged Katie off for i.e. bitchiness and snobbery, I thought she went a tad over the top, but Katie handled it well.

The bra lady is a kind of J K Rowling lite. She seemed to want to score cheap points against what she perceived as an eay target

I see what you are saying. I just disliked Katie so much during the show and think it was cheap that she walked away- almost her saying "Well I could have won so now I'll step down and the other two should thank me for this opportunity I have given them"

Therefore I'm glad MM said what she did -even if it did go below the belt- I just felt Katie deserved to hear a few home truths. IMO.

The bra woman and her supposed moral superiority was pants, Katie easily a match for her and surprisingly restrained.

This man-stealer idea is also quite cute, it takes two to tango, if their marriages were so great beforehand, they wouldn't have strayed with Katie.

It was interesting that Katie just couldn't be ruthless enough to deprive either one of Kristina or Simon a place in the final, cos she could have done that, taken an ego trip and pulled out then if that had been her game.

To date, there has been one tribunal, which was against her husband, not her.

Hardly the sign of an employer wholly discriminating against women (who make up the majority of the company's staff.)

The fact her company is considered very innovative, and that she has won business awards, speaks for itself.

You also don't get to build a company to that level if you treat your staff so badly.

Still not an excuse to launch a verbal tirade against Katie.

I saw the beyond the boaardroom show the other day and Katie came across well with her two kids, I think a lot of what she says is purely for show. For example, I think Kristina was her arch enemy throughout the prog, but right at the end she still withdrew despite knowing if she had stayed she may well have taken the opportunity away from Kristina.

Snigger...really?

Do a little reading about Henry Ford for example, business can be done whilst being a nasty bigot.

Exactly. As hideous as Katie has been, Bra Lady was even more hideous. All that looking at the audience for confirmation of her own "brilliance". Bet she wouldn't have said half of what she said if she hadn't been so certain the audience would be behind her.
