No...SAS let her fall on her sword. Kindest cut really.

Katie has done enough verbal tirade launching throughout and should know well enough that if you can't take it, you shouldn't give it.

As for Katie making some kind of noble gesture - that's bollox. Alan Sugar was testing her and she failed the test. The thought that she had an attack of conscience is laughable.

If what she says is "purely for show" then she deserves not to be trusted. She deserved to lose the position. She deserves to take a verbal bashing from time to time. What is so wrong with her "real" personality that she needs to hide it behind a facade of shoulderpads and vampy lipstick? You are either up for the task or you aren't. If you need a front then you've got problems.

ultimately it was still her decision though. if she was really as ruthless as everyone claims, then surely it would have been better for her to get to the final, win and then say she didn't want it.

It's a tv show though, obviously it is going to attract Katie types! Don't know why people are taking it all so seriously!

This man-stealer idea is also quite cute, it takes two to tango, if their marriages were so great beforehand, they wouldn't have strayed with Katie.

It was interesting that Katie just couldn't be ruthless enough to deprive either one of Kristina or Simon a place in the final, cos she could have done that, taken an ego trip and pulled out then if that had been her game.”

I'm sure something happened in the 3 suitability interviews, as Katie's demeaner changed. Either she gave away more than she meant to or they'ed made it clear they'ed rumbled her. In the boardroom Sir Alan got a promise from her and she immediately began to wriggle in her seat. Sir Alan let her off lightly and gave her the oppotunity to appear to withdraw gracefully.

Agreed.

I actually thought Katie was quite restrained in the face of such hostility.

Yes, Katie deserved an adverse reaction for her petty vindictiveness on the show. But getting that tirade of gratuitous abuse from someone (ie Bra Lady) who thinks she is better than her simply because she has "made it" and therefore speaks for "the nation" left a sour taste in my mouth.

Bra Lady ain't no lady.

Let's not forget Nick and his "red mouth shaped for sin" remark.

What a complete KNOB.

Those twits actually managed to make Katie look good.

To me the whole thing was Michelle's audition for "Dragon's Den"

She so wants to be a celeb it hurts!

Poor example really. Introducing a 5 day week and minimum wage was ahead of his time.

However, to try and compare company practices over sixty years ago and how it happens now isn't exactly representitive.

For the most part now, the labour market as such is less likely to stick around and take crap. Plus the plethora of legislation means companies are less able to get away with treating employees badly.

I'm not saying she is likely to be an angelic figure, just that, especially as a woman, if you are wholly hated by your staff, colleagues and business partners, you'll find it difficult to get the support you need to grow a business. Nowadays you can only push your staff so far.

It is supposed to be for a real job, rather than fame. The way Katie spoke on the after show on BBC2 reminded me Big Brother of housemates, "People on the street love me", "People like me because I tell it like it is."

Be interesting to see if
1) she has a media career as a bitch,
2) has a media makeover to become the perfect mother and business woman.

The ruthless claim was her own.

I thought the bra woman was totally out of order!

I think Katie is brilliant, and I think even more highly of her now for responding in a calm, dignified and hutmorous way to such a reception.

Well Done Katie!

I'm sure Katie is very apprecative of your comments, while thinking you are a saddo without much of a life at a computer.

Are you prepared to continue to give her praise knowing she may think you are a complete waste of space??

and anyway why should any female individual stand as role model for a whole gender. No one says that Conrad Balck is a bad role model for all men

Yep. For the first time I actually felt some sympathy for Katie. I even started to like her a bit (it's gone now she's off the screen) but even so, that wouldn't have happened if Bra Lady hadn't been so awful.

“Michelle was absolutely right! women like katie give women in business a bad name.”

What is this good name that all women should represent in business? I have never ever heard anyone complain that an individual's behaviour gives men in business a bad name.

I thought this statement of Michelle Mone was totally out of order. No woman in business has or should have the job of representing their entire sex in how they work. That Michelle Mone thinks it reflects badly on her, a view that was then substantiated by her "I've made it and you haven't" attitude. She comes across as one of those women who do what they can to ensure that female rivals are kept well under the glass ceiling.

Quote:
“she dissed women who want to stay and home with their children, AND she spoke of her own children as mere production products 'had them and thats done!' kind of attitude.”

I didn't hear her diss women who wanted to stay home. She said that it wasn't what she wanted and furthermore, she didn't want to be told it was what she should want. Having children and having a career is tough, and planning things so that you can do both is good sense, not dismissive.

“Deceitful filthy manstealer!”

Poor, innocent man with no will or responsibility of his own! Didn't he know that only guys can indulge in adulterous affairs. That causes no ripples at all.

I wasn't too keen on Katie during the show. I thought she was very entertaining at times, sometimes unintentionally hilarious, and yes she did go a bit OTT with some of her comments. But that daft scottish bint was out of order by saying "I've made it, you havn't". Like she would dare say that without the beloved audience

Nick irritated me aswell (even more so!) don't know what his problem was especially with that red mouth sin remark.

I also want to ask why Tre was hailed as a hero by the audience, when all he did was scream, shout and swear at people He wasn't even that much of a great candidate IMO

So the softer look of peek-a-boo (ish) hairstyle and the removal of the red lips full of sin worked for you?

LOL! Firstly, I do have a life and am not some "saddo" at a computer. If that is the case, probably the same could be said about us all, posting on an internet forum at 23.30 at night... You're not speaking for the whole country Michelle!

I was just stating that I realy liked Katie that's all. You're more of the saddo for getting all upset about that! There is just no need for such remarks.

I don't care what Katie thinks. Of all things, I'm sure she would welcome the support.

Nope because it's unusual for me to judge someone in that situation based purely on what they look like. I generally don't form opinions based on hairstyles and lipstick shades

.....she must have owned up to being ruthless at least 50 times if i heard her say it once tonight...so the ruthless title is of her own choosing. SAS merely gave her enough rope with which to hang herself (metaphorically speaking)...she forgot the golden rule....never play a player...and SAS is the pass master of players! ...luved the way he said "...maybe i've given you too much to think about..." *bows his head, stays silent and waits for Katie to break the silence* - then bingo! cue Katie, and I paraphrase 'ok...well..yes...i do think i'd better go then'.

Classic!!!
