The point with Rod Stewart is Michelle Mone used his good friendship when it suited her and then deliberatly threw it back in his face playing on his personal issues with the intention of upsetting him because of the tabloid attention it would bring her line. Or are you saying that this manipulative and backstabbing behaviour (that you profess to hate) to a good personal friend to benifit your business is fine as long as it's Rod Stewart who's not so virtuous himself?

Michelle Mone has always been the most irritating of all those 'celebrity' woman in business. She is a shameless self promoter always screaming victimisation and how hard done by she is if anyone critisises or takes her to task over her business practices. She's also not THAT great a business woman she just designed a great product and where credits due had enough acuman to get it on the road to success but then struggled with ridulous aims and predictions and had to be bailed out by the richest man in Scotland. I'm not denying what she's achieved and earned but she's hardly your Karren Brady type business person who is actually paid big sums of money to run things of which I'm sure Michelle herself employs.

Michelle Mone dumped Penny and replaced her with Rachel as the face (or rather body) of the brand when Rod divorced Rachel for Penny. I remember thinking at the time what a great move it was - openly supportive of the wronged wife, and of all older women ditched for the younger model.

I agree entirely. Michelle Mone made me laugh, as do the posts that are attacking her for being nasty to Katie and then call her all names under the sun.

I think Michelle realised very quickly that Adrian Chiles was going to give Katie an easy ride so stepped in. I think it was best that another woman took her on as Katie could turn on the feminine charm to disarm a male presenter.

Your take on the story is the one that he peddles. The truth of what happened is likely somewhere between the two. No-one other than those involved, knows the truth and it is up to them to look after their own relationships. You only have his word that she was manipulative and backstabbing. But to come out and talk about her like he did in the press, says a lot more about him than it does about her.

Of course, his daughter now has chosen to take a contract with her too. That indicates to me that there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.

Your comments about her not being a success confuse me, as I'm not sure what else, other than talent and business acumen, it takes in one person to make a good business. Even the most successful business leader has people who develop different parts of the company. You think Bill Gates does his own marketing? Or accounts? Or programming? He had a vision and he built on that.

Mone may have attacked Katie in a "lets see how you like it manner" but I've yet to hear her slapping some stereotype on her customers and laughing at them. She certainly doesn't carry that snobbish attitude against others that Katie is so proud of. I don't work for her so I have no idea what kind of boss she is, but I'm certain that if she was such a terrible hypocrite, her business record would not be as good as it is. I'm also sure that in a world where every tabloid would love to fuel the flames of that particular fight, someone would have come out of the wood work by now to sell the "other side of Michelle" story.

I think the problem is, too many people want to shit on folk who have worked hard and made something of themselves.

I'm sure Katie has worked hard and I'm sure she has met obsticles in business. But she made a laughing stock of herself and showed that it is possible to over step the bounds of decency and self respect in the quest to be ruthless and succeed.. There is an awful lot that she seems proud of, that in other circumstances would lead to her being labled entirely differently. Take her out of a business suit and put her into a shell suit, then ask yourself what your opinion would be?

I don't think a lady who manages bra sales for a living can really criticise katie for not being an example for strong business women. I agreed with everything katie said in the apprentice, and her one liners were great. As for her affair, sometimes people do fall in love with married men, it's not a crime, just a misfortune, and I don't think she should be ashamed for falling in love. Besides isn't it more his fault anyway, she was unattached, he was married, he was the one who broke the committment, not her. People are always so quick to judge the female, but always say it's ok for men as they are more sexual, what a load of rubbish!

Then there was the tribunal last year, ok so that will happen to most companies, a misunderstanding and stuff leading to a tribunal, but in the Wonderful Woman that is Michelle Mone, crusader for women being represented fairly was taken to a tribunal by a woman she fired for getting Pregnant. WOW, her staff must love her so much, not enough to dare get pregnant though.

Michelle lowered herself very much and came across much worse than Katie who was playing up to the "wicked Witch" stuff whereas Michelle just came across as Pathetic.

Katie fell in love with her boss, a married man, who left his wife and children and married Katie, then left her a year later with two children for another woman.

She had an affair with a married man whilst working at the Met Office, a man who has since returned to his wife and who Katie says is the love of her life, despite having a relationship with Paul during the making of the Apprentice when she was supposed to have been waiting for the love of his life to leave his wife.

I'm not judging anybody but it doesn't appear that anyone involved in all these relationships comes out of it all particularly well.

Katie deserved it - she has been handing it out all series and she got some of it back. Yes Michelle did go over the top - and normally I wouldn't approve but for Katie - it is extremely hard to find any sympathy whatsoever.

It was her husband who was taken to tribunal, not her.

For a business which employs a high percentage of women, tribunals are likely always to happen. It is possible to have to fire women who happen to be pregnant for reasons other than the fact they are pregnant. It annoys me when people choose to interpret things as discrimination when in all possibility it is to do with performance. I'm certain there are more women within her organisation who have become pregnant and who were not fired.

Are you sure you have that right? My understanding is that she started at the Met Office at the same time she started filming The Apprentice; in other words she started with 7 weeks unpaid leave. So she wouldn't have been having a relationship with anyone at the Met while she was seeing Paul because she hadn't had a chance to meet anyway. She started at the Met properly in late November, after finishing with Paul, and that's when she fell in love at the Met.
