Stepping down like that, because she knew she didn't really want the position is quite something. Obviously there are a few morals lurking in there somewhere.

what a load of rubbish. She just wanted to be told she was finalist material she wanted to walk not be fired.

Like she'd get to the last stages and not discuss childcare arrangements.

She was treated so badly in the Claude interview. I would have thought asking questions about childcare etc was outlawed nowadays.

No, what Nick said was spot on - game player. Didn't want the job, but wanted to launch a media career on the back of being a 'personality'. However, she badly miscalculated how the viewers would see her and now has egg on her face.

Sadly the Finale will be lacking now that Simon made it. He isn't capable from what he has shown, he is immature. Katie vs Kristina would have been the best finale yet but Katie showed she is human and the whole show has been an act.

Well Done Katie.

And she sure showed that stupid Bra Bitch that noone no matter how "successful" they are could intimidate her. Michelle made herself look like a right bitter cow.

It's amazing how people will slag her off for doing wrong (fair enough) but slag her off for doing right as well (weird and inconsistent).

You're joking aren't you? She's been phenomenally successful. She'll be all over the media for months.

Totally agree. She was going on about her sister in Bournemouth or something and suddenly she hasn't discussed anything!

She didn't want to be told "You're fired" and I'm extremely irritated that she wasn't.

I think SAS told her she was in the final early to test her and see if she really did want the job.

By putting her through to the final for her to pull out herself?

Agreed. And I thought she defended herself brilliantly from that ridiculous bra woman.

can't see Katie gained any friends from that programme - she was too far gone to recover..all those excerpts from her interviews just sunk her completly..no explanation of her grudges about everyone..

She'd be able to redeem herself if she showed some humilty and stopped looking down on others as if they are inferior but hey a leopard never changes their spots.

She said she liked using words and she was venting. No excuse of course, but part of Katie's problem is that she is actually quite talented at insulting people which is why she got so much airtime - it made good telly.

She was also right that she only got personal when Adam got personal with her.

Redeemed herself how exactly? Not a single ounce of humility or apology shown but instead laughed it all off as a big joke. She'll get on undoubtedly but at the expense of others sadly

She did a lot more than apologise, she stepped aside when she didn't need to and gave up her place. Actions speaking louder than words and all that. That means a lot more than a few hollow words.

You'd think that Katie had insulted everybody personally, the way people hate her here. Maybe she should pop round to all the viewers houses to apologise in person.

Exactly. He let her fall on her sword. Kindest cut really.

I don't think she had any intention of taking that job from the outset TBH. She wanted to prove that she was better than the rest and COULD be offered it but that's as far as it went.

I was actually meaning an apology to the people she'd said some pretty nasty things about rather than Simon and Kristina.

Don't hate her personally - just her type

Apologise for what? Venting at people you get frustrated with in a pressure-cooker environment, having prejudices, we all have them, just for different things.

There is just so much hypocrisy it beggars belief, all these people pretending to be paragons of virtue. Yeah, right!

A girl with spirit, intelligence and the ability to be pushed around by no-one, I like that so much in her, my sort of woman.
