Oh, Lohit.......

I COULD be being over-sensitive here, but did anyone else detect a few hinges of homophobia with the way Lohit was dealt with on the latest episode and subsequent BBC2 show.

Nick telling him he needed to eat more red-meat seemed a strange thing to say, implying that he needed to be more of a man and toughen up a bit? I can't imagine this kind of comment being given to any of the others, and there were others who were weaker than Lohit.......

I felt like this kind of undercurrent dominated both episodes, or am I just being oversensitive....?

Nope, you're not oversensitive. The vibes were there loud and clear to be read if you were Lohit. SAS gave away his opinion of L in an earlier show when he mocked L's decision to participate in a march.

Oh really? I'm not sure I remember this.

Yes, I can't remember what episode it was (8,9 or 10) but he questioned L regarding his efforts in the task and said something disparaging about attending marches. It seemed clear to me at that point that L didn't stand a chance with SAS.

I thought Nick was gay. My other half says its been in the paper. Nick obviously like his men tough and bloody

I also thought it showed a certain lack of sensitivity to suggest that someone who may be from a hindu background (whether believing or not - his name is a hindu name I believe) to have a steak.

Lohit has told Gay News that he found Sir Alan Sugar a real sweetie. He said that Sir Alan is not as gruff as he seems. Oh Lohit, tell us more
